I was mostly with Aires. I'm so tired of him being so bossy, it bothers me. He faced me and said "Stay here. And don't get into trouble, understood?" I rolled my eyes, I felt his hand squeezing my waist "understood?" He said again. his voice was deep yet alarming. I just nodded in approval.

He soon let go of my waist and walked towards his family while I stood here like a loner.

Suddenly, the ballroom doors burst open, and a figure clad in dark, inconspicuous clothing slipped inside. His face was partially hidden by a hat and scarf, but his presence was unmistakably menacing. The crowd, initially startled, quickly fell silent, their attention drawn to the unexpected intruder.

I, standing near the center of the room, felt a sudden chill. I glanced around, my instincts warning me of an imminent threat. The intruder's eyes locked onto me with a focused intensity that made my skin crawl. My heart raced as i recognised the danger.

Aries, who had been speaking with a group of influential guests, turned sharply when he noticed the commotion. His gaze locked on the intruder, and his face hardened into an expression of grim determination.

Aries' eyes blazed with fury as he pushed through the crowd, his movements swift and purposeful. The guests, now fully aware of the danger, scattered in panic, creating a chaotic scene. The elegant ballroom, filled with laughter and light, was suddenly transformed into a battleground of fear and tension.

With a smirk, he made his way toward me, his intentions clear. He seemed unfazed by the chaos he was causing, his focus solely on me. The sight of him approaching me filled Aries with a primal rage.

"Marcus!" Aries' voice cut through the din, low and menacing. He moved with the kind of speed and purpose that belied his usual composed demeanor, his rage palpable.

Marcus paused, turning to face Aries. "Well, if it isn't Aries Rivera," he said, his tone dripping with disdain. "I didn't expect you to be so protective of your little fiancé. How cute."

Aries' jaw clenched, his hands balled into fists. "Stay away from her, Marcus. This is your only warning, I swear"

Marcus laughed, a harsh, mocking sound. "You always were too predictable, Aries. But I'm here for what's rightfully mine, and I'm not leaving without it."

Aries' rage boiled over. He lunged at Marcus, his anger fueled by years of betrayal and unresolved conflict. They both clashed in the middle of the ballroom.

Aries grabbed onto his throat and started strangling him and talks with a mocking tone "I swear if I see you lay a hand on her. You're dead"

Marcus is struggling to breathe, he nods, telling him to stop. Aries finally lets go, Marcus gets up and tries controlling his breathing.

Aries stares at him with disgust. "Go."

Marcus gets up and leaves, but turns around and winks at me, see you later princess, he mouthed,
Who the hell was that guy?

The ballroom remained in stunned silence as Aries, still trembling with adrenaline and anger, turned to me. His expression was a mix of fierce protectiveness and regret, his usual composure shattered by the night's events.

I was shaken and disheveled, I looked at Aries with a mixture of awe and apprehension. "Who the hell was that?" I asked, my voice trembling.

Aries, his breathing still heavy, looked at me with a fierce intensity. "Someone from my past. Someone who should have stayed there."

As the guests slowly began to return to their conversations, their faces filled with shock and curiosity, Aries took my hand, his grip firm but gentle. "Let's get out of here," he said, his voice soft but still filled with an underlying tension.

I nodded, my heart still racing from the night's events. As they made their way out of the ballroom.
