~Kawayan's POV~

Qualifying Day. It's a bright and early morning here in Melbourne, Australia. I wake up when I'm supposed to and head straight for the track after a quick warm shower. The effects of last are still hitting me. Isagani, Bianca, and Victor, to be more specific. I could barely sleep last night. The only thing running through my head was what else Bianca was pissed about. If Bianca would've talked about it with me like I wanted to in the first place, I don't think we'd be in this mess. It's almost too easy to fix a simple concept.

The Lando thing was the last thing on my mind. I digress. I'm only in my team shirt and a pair of jeans when I make it to the Sarao Motors' garage since I'll be skipping anything that has to do with a car on the track. There's no point in putting on my race suit if I'm not going to race. I just sit next to my engineer with the same headset on, watching Bianca's FP3 right before quali starts. I'm really jealous she's out there right now. I could really take out my aggression and frustration out on the track. Maybe it'll help me run the fastest lap ever on the Melbourne track.

There would be people from our team who would try to make basic conversation with me like I just didn't destroy my car the day before. I actually haven't seen Isagani since I walked in this morning. Not that I would've wanted to see him; I just thought it was odd of him to not give me any updates about my car. I did feel useless not being out there on the track like my body was going through race withdrawals. "Hey, you look bored." I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I turned around, I was confused to see Logan and Oscar in our garage with their race suits tied at their waists.

"Hey, aren't you guys supposed to be on the track already?" I gave them both the bro pound-hug. It's a combination of an actual hug and the usual bro handshake that everyone on the grid does. "Isagani gave us five minutes to come see you." Logan pointed towards the entrance where they saw him. Maybe he's ignoring me after that conversation we had. I didn't really care what the reason was; I prefer this. I did slam his office door before I left. "Yeah, everyone is talking about how you saved Pierre's life in the paddocks. You didn't hear? That video was amazing to watch." Oscar poked my shoulder, and we immediately felt weird about it, but we did laugh it off.

I'm glad to be talking to the only two people that didn't complicate my life at the moment. They're the only ones I can feel sane around. "Oh, you didn't get a chance to meet my girlfriend yet. I asked Victor, and he said you left right after your crash." Ok, I totally forgot about that. I take back what I said. Oscar still remains the only person that hasn't made my life any more difficult apart from him asking if I was gay. It wasn't that bad, though. "After quali, we should grab dinner together." Logan asked with his hands on his hips, looking at Oscar and me. "If you're not busy." Logan points to me. My mind went to last night when Lando asked me out on an arcade date.

After last night, I think I would rather not go to anything. Maybe I should just lock myself away in my room again. "I'm just gonna go back to my hotel room after this. I have to get my mind focused on the Grand Prix tomorrow." I see Logan and Oscar look at each other. It's like they were talking through facial expressions. Bianca and I used to do that. "It's just a quick, small dinner with the four of us. If it makes you feel better, I'll invite Lando." I tried to not get a reaction out when hearing that name. Out of all the drivers, Bianca and Lando are who I want to see the least. I basically shunned the Brit last night.
