He was not surprised when he entered the great hall to see Rosalind awake and organising for their new arrivals, he would have been more surprised had he not seen her. Ever industrious she had several wolves rushing to and fro carrying blankets, jugs of water, baskets of bread, and fruit, there was enough meat left over from the roast the previous evening to feed a small army being stuffed hastily into baskets.

She looked up instantly as he entered the room but her smile of greeting froze as her eyes shifted to the small group of women standing behind him. Brushing her hands on her skirt she walked towards him. Her face was expressionless, as though she had dropped a mask over her emotions.

"Edward who are our Guests?"  she asked wrapping her arm around his waist.

He could feel a warmth emanating from her, and did not need to be told that she was holding power he bent his head to her's and whispered into her ear.

"It's fine Rosalind, these people are our guests." The warm feeling instantly vanished.

"Allow me to introduce you all to my Luna Rosalind".

''Welcome.'' Rosalind warily nodded to the women.

He was no longer used to seeing her so reticent he could feel her anxiety flow through their bond and it did not sit well with him, making him pull her protectively further into his side.

The witches, on the other hand, looked surprised, he would even have gone as far as saying they appeared shocked, as they gracefully knelt on the floor bowing their heads.

 "Sorceress"

All activity in the hall came to a sudden and abrupt halt, the previous busy chatter and activity that had filled the hall fading away to silence as all attention was now fully fixed on them.

Edward was flummoxed, why were they suddenly kneeling to his mate? And why were they calling her Sorceress? The distraction meant he did not immediately realise Rosalind had left his side, looking at her now though she seemed unaware of her surroundings. Her beautiful moon-colored eyes were now completely white he did not think he would ever get used to it no matter how many times he had seen it since their arrival in Elsinore, was she having a seeing? No, he did not think so, this was different somehow.

lightening seemed to be flowing through her and around her. He could see it glowing, wrapping around her body like white lightning but unlike previous times he had seen her use her power he could feel no heat only all-pervasive coldness, he reached out and touched her arm only to snatch his hand back she was as cold as ice. Arnoux was immediately on the offensive fighting him for control of their body, and for a split second, he was tempted to let him take over their body and shift. Instead, he stood stupefied as Rosalind's beautiful silver hair turned black. Nothing was left of its original color but a streak of silver on the left side.

Edward could feel himself slowly losing his grip on his wolf, his canines and claws extending as Arnoux, desperate now to protect her from whatever this was, tried to force them into a shift.  He felt a hand on his arm and spun around preparing to face a new threat, only to gaze at the face of a woman that he did not immediately recognise. The woman before him was beautiful, young, in her prime, her hair floating almost to her knees in a shimmer of silvery white her eyes bright and clear. She seemed to be speaking to him or at least he thought she was her lips were moving but he could hear no sound. His mind felt foggy, numb almost he could not quite remember what he had been doing, this seemed to last for several long moments, till he found he could hear her voice.

''Wait Alpha all will be well"

"Morwenna?'' He needed answers he had it seemed been lied to. "You had better have good explanations for this Shaman" he hissed angrily before his attention returned to the love of his life.
