Mr. Jeon began speaking, his voice steady but tinged with nostalgia. "Well, all of this began back when we were in university, so I'm not sure if it will be helpful to you or not."

Jungkook, his expression guarded, cut him off. "It's up to us to decide if it's useful or not. Just speak and leave."

Tae, who had been silently listening, shook his head disapprovingly at Jungkook's brusque manner. Jungkook, feeling a pang of guilt, looked away from his father.

Namjoon, sensing the tension, urged Mr. Jeon to continue. "Please, go on."

Mr. Jeon took a deep breath, his eyes drifting to the distant past. "I don't know if Mr. Kim ever mentioned this to you, but we were best friends in college. Everyone admired our friendship; it was something truly special."

He smiled wistfully as he continued, "At that time, I was already dating Jieun—Jungkook's mother." Jungkook's eyes widened slightly, but before he could speak, Tae gently placed a hand on his arm, stopping him. Jungkook fell silent, his curiosity piqued.

Mr. Jeon went on, "Jongin, Jieun, and I were all friends from middle school. I ended up with Jieun, and Jongin had this massive crush on the school's beauty, Jennie."

Tae's face brightened with a smile. "Oh, Mom was a real beauty," he said, recalling fond memories.

Mr. Jeon chuckled. "She was indeed. But, as fate would have it, Jennie left for her grandparents' place for higher education, and your father never got around to confessing his feelings. It was a bit of a missed opportunity, really."

The room erupted in soft laughter at the light-hearted revelation, momentarily easing the somber atmosphere.

Jin, trying to focus on the matter at hand, asked, "So, what does this have to do with everything that's happened?"

Mr. Jeon continued, his voice filled with a mix of regret and nostalgia. "Well, that was it. We were all still good friends, but then Sowon joined us. Jongin and I had chosen different majors, and Sowon began spending more time with your father. We started drifting apart, and eventually, we had a huge fight. Sowon was behind it all, but your father didn't give me a chance to explain. After that, we never spoke again. We both moved on; I married Jieun, and your father married Jennie, though it was an arranged marriage. I was happy for him.

Life went on. Jieun and I struggled with conceiving, while your father was blessed with two children already. Then, Jieun passed away in a car crash when you were just two years old, all the evidence seemed to point towards Jongin. I was enraged, and rather than seeking the truth, I wanted to see him fall. I didn't even get to say sorry."

Mr. Jeon's voice cracked slightly as he continued, "I had my secretary gather all the information, and I found out that my second wife was involved with your father's enemies. I discovered the child she claimed was mine wasn't actually mine. I was consumed by the need to uncover the truth, and in the process, I lost you."

He turned to Jungkook, his eyes full of sorrow. "I'm sorry, Jungkook. My obsession with finding your mother's killer made me lose you in the process. I didn't realize how much I hurt you."

Tae, moved by his Mr.Jeon's  confession, stood up and walked over to Mr. Jeon. "It's okay, Dad," he said softly. "we are here with you" and Jungkook also joined in the hug.

As the family shared a moment of understanding, Mr. Jeon suddenly felt a sharp punch. He turned to see Mr. Kim, who was visibly furious. "You idiot!" Mr. Kim yelled. "You could have just talked to me. I would have forgiven you without a second thought. You didn't even tell me about Jieun, Jong suk. Do you even see me as a friend? I know I made mistakes, but—"

Mr. Jeon, his face pained but resolute, responded, "It's okay. I will get justice for Jieun."

Tae, feeling the weight of the moment, stepped forward and said, "We'll help you, Mr. Jeon. We all want to see justice for Mrs.Jeon and make things right."

Everyone nodded in agreement, a shared sense of purpose uniting them.

Suddenly, Mr. Jeon's expression shifted to confusion. "Wait a minute," he said, his brow furrowing. "How are you two alive? I saw the footage of the crash myself. It was all over social media."

Mrs. Kim chuckled softly, a knowing glint in her eyes. "Jong Suk, do you really think my children would just let me die like that?"

Mr. Kim joined in the laughter, adding, "They would even go to hell and bring us back if they had to."

Mr. Jeon, his expression understanding, nodded. It was clear now that it had been part of their elaborate plan to ensure their safety.

"So," Mr. Jeon said, looking at the Kims, "what's next?"

Namjoon, his lips curling into a smirk, responded with a determined glint in his eye. "So... we fight back. We regroup, strengthen our position, and prepare to take down whoever's behind this. It's time to reclaim what's ours and bring justice to those who've wronged us."

The atmosphere in the room shifted to one of resolute determination. With newfound clarity and unity, they prepared to face the challenges ahead, ready to confront the shadows that had loomed over their lives.
