Operation Frog Jealousy was in full swing, and the group was already reaping the rewards. The moment Minghao walked into the Park household that day, he felt the air shift. Everything seemed normal at first—Mr. Park was in his garden, tending to his beloved plants. But the sight of Jimin descending the staircase stopped Minghao in his tracks.
Jimin looked... breathtaking. He wore a fitted black shirt adorned with heart prints, paired with bold red pants, and accessorized with an earring, rings, and a cascade of chains around his neck. His shirt was unbuttoned just enough to tease but not reveal, and a touch of makeup made his features pop. The entire look was casual yet irresistibly attractive. Minghao, usually composed and calm, couldn't stop staring.

"Hi, Hao! Sorry, I can't talk right now," Jimin said, flashing him a smile that only made things worse.
"Are you going somewhere?" Minghao's voice dropped a note lower, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Yeah, I have a date today!" Jimin giggled, hopping into his shoes as he spoke.
"A date?" Minghao's frown deepened, a tension brewing inside him. "Who's the guy?"
Before Jimin could answer, the doorbell rang. He rushed to the door, leaving Minghao to stand there, fists clenched at his sides, already feeling an unfamiliar knot forming in his chest. Jimin's excited giggles echoed from the entryway, and when he returned, he wasn't alone.
Minghao looked up, and there stood Cha Eunwoo, one of the most handsome and well-known actors in the country, who was evidently Jimin's "date." The sight of the two together made Minghao's heart sink in a way he didn't fully understand.
"Hao, this is Eunwoo, my date. Woo, this is Minghao, my friend," Jimin introduced casually, his bright eyes flicking between the two men.
Friend. The word stung more than it should have, and Minghao felt the sharp pang of something unfamiliar and unpleasant—jealousy. But why was he feeling this way? Why did it bother him so much to see Jimin with someone else?
"Nice to meet you," Eunwoo said, smiling politely. Minghao, however, could barely muster a nod in return, his mind spinning.
As Jimin and Eunwoo walked out the door, laughter spilling from Jimin as he left with his so-called date, Minghao's gaze darkened. He felt a presence next to him and turned to see Mr. Park, who had been observing the whole exchange with an amused smile.
"I hope that boy treats my baby well," Mr. Park said, as though reading Minghao's mind.
Minghao could only nod, though his thoughts were far from calm. "I've got some important work to do, Mr. Park. I'll be leaving now," he muttered, barely managing to hide the storm brewing inside him as he quickly made his exit.
Once outside, Minghao caught a glimpse of Taehyung sitting nearby with little Yeonjun on his lap, the two of them wearing matching grins. "Well, I think we've got ourselves a jealous man, don't you think, uncle?" Taehyung said, amused. He immediately whipped out his phone, texting furiously into the group chat Operation Frog Jealousy before receiving a flood of notifications confirming their suspicions—Minghao was indeed feeling the heat.
And that wasn't the end of it. Each time Minghao visited the Park household after that, there was Eunwoo. Sometimes, he'd be sitting with Jimin on the couch, casually chatting or laughing together. Other times, Jimin would walk out the door, dressed to the nines, for yet another "date" with the actor. Eunwoo seemed to be everywhere, and the fact that Mr. Park welcomed him with open arms only fueled the fire inside Minghao. It didn't help that Eunwoo's background checks came back flawless—the man was too perfect, too kind, too handsome. It was driving him mad.
