It was a peaceful weekend morning, and Yoongi lay in bed, savoring the rare opportunity to sleep in. At least, that's what he thought until he felt a warm hand slide up under his shirt, brushing his chest, while another hand wandered lower, drawing a soft, unexpected moan from his lips. Instantly awake, Yoongi turned to find Jin already watching him, a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. Jin leaned in for a kiss, and things began to heat up—until the doorbell rang.
Yoongi pushed Jin back with a sigh, muttering under his breath, and rolled out of bed to see who was at the door. Opening it, he found Taehyung standing there with Yeonjun on his hip, looking every bit the exhausted but hopeful parent. "Hyung, can you please take care of Junie for a few hours? Jungkook's taking me out, and with Dad on a business trip and Jungkook heading out soon too... I thought I'd spend some time with him." Tae flashed his signature puppy eyes, adding a bit of extra charm for good measure.
With his soft spot for kids, Yoongi didn't even think twice. "Of course, bring him in," he said, reaching for the baby bag as he welcomed Yeonjun, who immediately perked up, clapping his hands happily.
Jin walked down the stairs, catching the whole exchange. He rolled his eyes, sighing dramatically as he took in the sight of another little one staying over. "Last week it was Hobi with Soobin and Heesung, and now it's Tae with Junie. What's next, Jimin's kids?" He shook his head with a playful groan. "I'm starting to get cockblocked enough that maybe it's a sign I shouldn't wish for kids."
Yoongi shot him a glare, swatting him lightly. The playful moment turned into laughter when little Yeonjun giggled in delight, clapping his hands even harder as his Gi Appa and Jin Appa bantered. Jin's frustration melted at the sight of Yeonjun's bright smile, and despite the interruption, both he and Yoongi knew these moments were worth every second.
*Sometime later*
Yoongi's heart softened as he took in the scene before him: Jin fast asleep on the living room carpet, one arm protectively wrapped around little Yeonjun, who was comfortably nestled on Jin's chest, a content smile on his tiny face. Toys were scattered around them from their playtime, and the house felt warm, filled with the innocent sounds of baby laughter and the quiet comfort of family.
Gazing at Jin, Yoongi couldn't help but smile, despite Jin's frequent protests against babysitting. Here was his husband, who claimed he didn't want children of their own, cradling his nephew with such tenderness. It was a sight that tugged at Yoongi's heart every time. Silently, he moved closer and gently rubbed Jin's shoulder. "Lunch is ready," he whispered, not wanting to disturb the peaceful moment too abruptly.
As Jin stirred awake, his eyes opened slowly, adjusting to the light before he looked down at the sleeping baby on his chest and then up at Yoongi with a soft smile. But Yoongi caught something else in Jin's gaze—maybe a hint of longing, even if Jin himself hadn't fully recognized it yet.
While Jin carefully sat up, holding Yeonjun close so he wouldn't wake, Yoongi went about cleaning up the toys and tidying the room. His hand drifted to his stomach unconsciously, a familiar ache settling within him. The desire to have their own child was one he carried quietly, always lingering in the background, especially now with so many little ones in the family. They had tried, met with countless doctors, and heard reassurances that neither had fertility issues. Still, the universe seemed to be making them wait.
"Yoongi," Jin's soft voice broke his thoughts. "Thank you for always being so amazing with the kids. Even if it's not...our own." Jin's voice had a rare vulnerability that made Yoongi look at him more closely.
Yoongi managed a small smile, stepping closer to Jin and resting a hand on his shoulder. "Jinnie, you're amazing with them too. More than you know."
Jin nodded, pulling Yoongi into a brief, warm hug before setting Yeonjun in his lap and reaching for the lunch Yoongi had prepared. They shared their meal in quiet contentment, watching as Yeonjun stirred and smiled in his sleep, completely unaware of the love and hope his presence was stirring in their hearts.
