Chapter 15: Stranger Things II

Joon-oh POV:

Ever since I left Grandma's house, strange things have been happening to me. I guess Grandma jinxed me. I went to her house.

"Joon-oh! What are you doing here?" Grandma exclaimed.

"Grandma, I know you jinxed me, but I still won't let go of her," I said.

"I told you, she's a monster! All these things are obviously happening because you got close to her. But I will take them away, as long as you stay away from her," Grandma warned.

"No! It's not because of her, it's because of you!" I retorted.

"I don't care if she's a monster, a witch, or any other being. All I know is that I love her, and I will protect her at all costs," I declared.

Madam Lee POV:

Hearing Joon-oh's stubborn words, I must say that he is in danger. I will go to her and take her away from here!

I noticed a mark by the side of his neck; it was the mark of the curse.

"No, no, this is bad! Joon-oh, listen, you have to stay away from that girl!"

"No, I won't!

" You better listen to me!"

"Why?"

"Because she's cursed!"

"What? Cursed?"

"Yes, she's cursed. That's why I kept her there, and anyone who gets close to her would also share the curse and might end up eventually dead."

"Well, it's not my concern. I will still take her away, cursed or not. I still love her."

Joon-oh and his stubborn attitude would put him in danger. He is my only grandson, and I don't want to lose him. I have to find a way to snap him out of this dangerous thing he calls love.

As he was about to leave, I hit him on the head with a pan.

"I'm sorry, Joon-oh! This is for your sake. I don't want to lose you." I called someone to take him to the  room. "I'm going to make sure he forgets her."

Min Soo POV:

For the past few days, Dad hasn't come home, and that's a good thing.

"Mom, I will be going now. I'll see you later!"

"Okay, son, take this before you go." As usual, she prepared her special dish for me.

But I couldn't eat it. I just told her to keep it for me.

ki-Hyun POV:

We got another gig to run, and we were both waiting for Min-soo to come. "Yah! Don't you think we should stop? What if we get caught this time?" Tae-Oh said.

"Oh, don't be negative. We won't ever get caught. I mean, we have the best master planner on our team. We won't ever get caught, okay!"

"Gosh! You're such a scaredy-cat."

Min-soo soon came. "Hey, Min-soo! You're here. Hope you brought some substance along."

As usual, he brought food with him. "I mean, we can't carry out an operation on an empty stomach." After eating, we discussed how we were going to do it.

"It's Mr. Choi, one of the elite in town. Mr. Choi is known for his cheating habits. So here's what we're going to do: Tae-Oh will disguise himself as a woman and seduce Mr. Choi."

"Gross! No way! I'm doing that?"

"Well, you're the only one with feminine attributes."

"Yeah! Min-soo is right.
"Let's continue. So when he finally traps Mr. Choi, then Mr. Choi takes him out on a date. Then that's where we come in. You'll act as a waiter, ki-Hyun, and snatch his phone!"

"Snatch his phone for what?
" For a quick transfer!"

"I still don't get it."

"Yeah! Me too. And why do I have to seduce a man in his 70s?"

"You guys are not getting my point. We're doing all this so we can get access to his phone. Once we do that, we'll be able to access his account, then make a quick transfer to our backup account, then return the phone back."

"Okay, then what is the waiter's job?"

"You dummy! He just said it's not too long. You're to snatch his phone!"

"How am I going to do that?"

"Ahh! Gosh, ki-Hyun! While I distract Mr. Choi, you quickly snatch his phone"

"Well, I must say it's a dumb plan, but I'm in anyway!"

"Aishhs shibal! ki-Hyun!"
"  You two stop arguing"

Joon-oh POV:

As soon as I woke up, I discovered my head was heavy. I couldn't remember anything. I saw Grandma in front of me.

"Joon-oh! Are you okay?"

"Yes! What happened?"

"You fell!"

"I fell! I don't remember falling."

"Well, you fell and hit your head. You're okay now. Everything is alright!"

"Wait, Grandma. I had a dream about a girl. Her hair was white, her eyes were green. She was about to say something."

"Well, it's just a dream. It's not real. Let me escort you to your home."

Something feels off. And I can tell by Grandma's expressions,she's so unpredictable.

Ha-young POV:

I was sitting in my usual position, lost in thought. Am I really cursed? Is this how I'll continue to live? It's best for me to die. Tears rolled down my eyes.

I soon heard noise coming from the bushes. I quickly rushed there. It was a man trying to strangle a woman. I quickly stepped out to help her.

"Leave her alone!"
"Hey mind your business!!!"

I  pushed him and told the woman to run. He turned his attention to me.

"You're quite beautiful. I mean, your kidney will definitely make a grand sale in the black market!"

He was coming close to me.

"You'll definitely bring me a fortune!"

He tried to grab me, then I screamed.

He fell to the ground.

"Haaa! Her hair has turned white, her eyes are green! She's a witch! She's a monster!"

"What?" The man screamed and ran away.

I don't know why he ran away, but I know it's something scary.

I went inside, and as I passed a mirror, I noticed something. The scary creature he was talking about was me.
