Chapter 28: WHY HER?

Min-soo POV:
I went out to look for her. I feel really bad for Ha-young. I wonder what she might be thinking... At first, I was scared, but I don't care whether she's cursed or not. She never had bad intentions towards us...

Flashback: After Ha-young left...
Tae-Oh: Let her leave, it's the best thing she can do for us!
Ki-Hyun: Yes, Tae-Oh is right!
Tae-Oh: She's just a selfish fool who came into our lives with the intent of giving us her curse... Min-soo: What?!
Ki-Hyun: Yes, she is. She's a wicked girl!
Min-soo: What did you say?!
Tae-Oh: I said she's a selfish being. She did all this on purpose!
Min-soo: Shut up!
Tae-Oh: What? Don't tell me you've fallen for that witch!
Min-soo: I said not another word!
Tae-Oh: What would you do?
Ki-Hyun: Yes, what would you do? After all, she's a witch, a monster... I punched Ki-Hyun.
Min-soo: I said don't say another word against her! Tae-Oh: Hey! What's your problem?
Min-soo: You call her selfish. Where we were the real selfish ones. I brought her with the intent to steal from her. You guys were in on it too. We wanted to rob that innocent girl. I feel ashamed of you two... We all accepted her, and it's not like she had bad intentions towards us. It's not like we were harmed by her, though she is cursed. But she never showed any signs. She was suffering alone, but we didn't even know... I'm disappointed in you two. Tae-Oh: So what are you trying to say? Should we let her continue staying? Should we continue sharing the curse with her?
Min-soo: Just shut up. It's no use talking to you... I'm leaving.
Ki-Hyun: Min-soo, what are you doing? Are you going to break our friendship just because of that girl?
Min-soo: Well, I brought her here, and I'm sorry for doing that. This isn't even my house. I will be leaving. I think I've overstayed here...
Ki-Hyun: Min-soo, ah!
Tae-Oh: Let him leave if he wants to... Don't stop him. After all, he's responsible for bringing her here!
Ki-Hyun: Tae-Oh! I left the house. I have to find her...

Ha-young POV:
While I was at Joon-oh's place, I laid on the bed, thinking of my dad's offer. After all, he's my family. I think I should go to him. I can't stay here. I don't want to cause any harm to anyone...

The next day...
"I'll be going now, If you need anything, just call me. This is my number,You can stay here for as long as you want, and plus, I won't be home every time".
            I just nodded to his words. He left... I can't stay here anyway. I have to go to Madam Lee. She'll take me to my dad...

Min-soo POV:
     I couldn't find her. I don't know where she is. I just hope she's okay. I went to pack my stuff from their place...
"Min-soo, are you really doing this?"
" Yes, Ki-Hyun, I can't stay here! I don't have the right to stay here. After all, this isn't my place"... "Min-soo, where would you go now?"
" I would go back to my place"
" But..."
" It's fine. Nothing will happen"
"  We'll still be friends, and we'll still be communicating, but I just can't stay here. I will go now, Bye. Help me take care of Tae-Oh. I'm really sorry for what I did to you yesterday. Tell Tae-Oh that even if he's an insecure jerk, he's still my bro! Now and forever!
           I smiled at him.

Tae-Oh POV:
I overheard Min-soo's conversation with Ki-Hyun... Min-soo, you stupid fool. Do you have to leave like that? You said we're your only family. Why do you have to fight with us because of that girl? You stupid fool. All you had to do was stop yourself from liking her... Tears rolled down my eyes...

Ha-young POV:
Later that day, I went to Grandma's place. I wasn't sure of the location, but it was indeed her house...

Madam Lee POV:
I was busy spreading some mustard seeds when she came...
"Ha-young! You're here! I must say, I'm impressed. How did you find this place?"
" I guessed "
       She just guessed..
"I guess your assumption was correct"
" Let's go inside, dear, it's freezing out here"

I took her inside and made something for her to eat.
"You must be hungry. Come on, eat... "
"Grandma!"
"  Hmm? "
" You aren't really my grandma, are you?"
    I didn't know what to say to her...
"I'm sorry... "
      She started crying...
"Aigooo,why are you crying dear?"
"You  looked after me  ever since I was a baby, but I didn't even show any sign of appreciation, I... I'm sorry".
       She fell to the ground and started crying... "Ha-young! Stop it. You'll make me cry too".
"  Ha-young! "
      She continued crying. I just hugged her.
" It's okay! Stop crying! It's okay!"

Ha-young POV:
After much emotion, I ate the food she prepared. After eating, I went out to meet her... Are you okay now? I nodded yes. She smiled and asked me to sit beside her...
"I want to tell you something. Everything. I will answer all your questions today... The watch, the curse, your parents, and brother... I will tell you everything..."
