(Y/N)'s POV:

"Cherri? ...What are you doing here?"

A beeping noise catches my attention, I quickly scan my surroundings, and I find out exactly what she was doing. My gaze falls on a massive pile of dynamite propped up against the building, with a countdown timer ticking down from it.

Her eye widens in surprise, "Y/n?! Oh shit!" She exclaims, frantically trying to turn the countdown off. her voice rising in panic as she frantically tries to disable the timer.

I rush to her side and help her work on stopping the countdown. After an intense minute, we manage to turn it off.

Cherri exhales deeply, looking relieved. "There are people working today? I thought everyone would be out because of that overlord meeting or whatever."

"Only Velvette is going to that meeting," I clarify, letting out a soft chuckle.

She rolls her eye, exasperated. "Well, there go my plans. I just wanted to blow up more of Val's shit, but I guess there's people working here."

She paused for a moment, furrowing her brow in confusion. "Wait, why are you here? Are you working for Val?"

I perked up, realizing that I was still at work, and our thirty-minute break from Val was almost over. "Oh! Yeah, I'm in a commercial he's shooting. I need to get back inside soon to finish filming," I said with a nervous laugh.

Cherri shook her head. "No way, I'm not letting you spend your day with that perv." She punched me playfully and grinned with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Come on, let's go have some fun!"

I chuckled. "Cherri, I can't just leave."

She shrugged. "True, you can't leave, but what if someone were to... kidnap you?" she said, raising her brow. "If you catch my drift."

"Oh?" I smirked, understanding exactly what she was implying.

"I'll set off a small explosion to get their attention, then I'll throw you in my car and pretend I'm kidnapping you," she said. "It's like a get-out-of-work-free card."

"Holy shit, you're a genius." I chuckled, there's no way in Hell I could pass up an offer to hang out with Cherri. "Let's do it!"

Cherri and I got the timer set up again, this time with less dynamite. We didn't want to hurt anyone, we just needed to grab their attention so they could see me getting 'kidnapped'.

"There, perfect!" Cherri exclaims as she pressed the start button on the timer, it started to count down from 5 minutes.

A thought pops into my head just then. "Hey Cher, could we bring Ronnie with us?" I wasn't about to just leave him here alone with Val.

"That bunny boy? Of course!" She nodded with a chuckle, "Hurry and go get him, I'll pull up the car so we can get you two the fuck out of here."

I give her a little salute before running back to the door that I came out of, cracking it open and peering through. I scan the room and I spot Ronnie just a few feet away.

"Psst, Ronnie!" I whisper, he perks his head up and looks around.

"PSSST!!" I push the door open wider, waving frantically until I finally get his attention. He comes over, and I pull him outside.

"What is this?" He chuckles, "break's almost over y'know."

"Cherri's here!" I say a little too excitedly, making him chuckle even more. I clear my throat, "ahem, I mean uh- Cherri's here. She's gonna pretend to kidnap us to get us out of work." I nudge him playfully, raising my eyebrows up and down. "What do ya say?"

"That's ballsy, but it just might work!" He giggles, his ear flopped to the side- which I found adorable. "Count me in!"

At that moment, Cherri's van roared into view, skidding to a halt right where we were standing. The tires screeched as she braked sharply. With an urgency in her voice, she leaned out of the driver's side window and shouted, "Come on, fags, we've got two minutes left!"

Ronnie and I hurried to the rear of the van, flung open the cargo doors, and climbed inside, leaving the doors wide open. We held our hands behind our backs to make it look like we were tied up.

"Wait- what does she mean we've got two minutes left?" Ronnie asked me.

"You'll see!!" I laughed.

Not a moment later, the dynamite goes off in a rumbling explosion, and Valentino rushes out of the building to see what caused the damage.

"What's going o- Y/N?! KANDI?!" Val immediately notices us 'tied up' in the back of the van, and as soon as he does, Cherri slams on the gas.

Ronnie and I fake-scream to make it more convincing, but as soon as we're far enough from the building, the screaming turns into cackling laughter.

"Oh my God, haha! It actually worked!!" Ronnie said between laughs.

Cherri pumps her fist into the air and takes a sharp turn in the van, grinning. "Get ready, we're about to have the time of our lives!"

Ronnie, smiling awkwardly and rubbing his neck, says, "Not to be a buzzkill, but could I sit this one out? I'm really exhausted from all the work I've been doing lately and just want to go home and sleep..."

Cherri turns around in her seat, looking puzzled. "Oh, come on Ronnie! It's ju-"

I cross my arms to make an X in a cutting motion behind Ronnie to silently suggest she agree with him. She notices and stops mid-sentence.

"Uh, yeah, that's totally fine," Cherri says, getting the hint and turning back around, trying to act casual about it.

The van comes to a halt, and Ronnie quickly jumps out of the back, a broad grin on his face. He turns to Cherri with a genuine look of appreciation. "Thanks for getting me out of there," he says with a chuckle. "You're a real one!" He waves enthusiastically, giving a final nod of gratitude before heading off.

I lean out of the van to close the back doors before climbing into the passenger seat beside Cherri, who pressed her foot to the gas pedal. I turn to face her as we pick up speed, "Val overworks him, he really needs a break." I explain.

"Yeah, no worries, I understand." She chuckles, playfully elbowing me, "I still have you! Are you down to have a little fun?"

I nod enthusiastically, "Always!"

She swerved the car to do wheelies while turning on the radio to blast music. Laughing and screaming with excitement, I held onto the coat hook above the car door for support as I joined in her laughter.

I turned my gaze to her and watched as her face lit up with excitement from the high speeds of the car, and seeing that flare in her eye made my heartbeat grow faster. Being around her was exhilarating, and my god, she drove me crazy.

She drove me crazy in the best way possible.

I don't know if it was Valentino's love-drugs I was huffing earlier, but my heart is beating way too fast, my whole body is buzzing right now.

She stopped doing wheelies after the fourth or fifth one and accelerated the van, speeding down the streets. I opened the car sunroof, lifted myself up, and sat on the roof with my legs still inside and my arms outstretched. Cherri and I both started screaming along to the lyrics of the song that was booming on the car radio and laughing hysterically.

I know we're in Hell, but Heaven can't possibly be as good as this feeling.
