16.5- Benny's POV

"This pop isn't working Benny. I'm baking like a toasted cheeser! It's so hot here!" Ham whinged
"It's 66°C out there you can't play baseball, you gotta call it for the day"
"You gotta listen to him Benny" all the boys were complaining about the extreme heat, But I didn't want to stop playing ball.
"Fine, vote then" I snapped irritated "anybody who wants to be a can't hack it pantywaist, who wears their mama's bra, raise your hand" everybody besides me and Ash raised their hand "fine, fine, fine! Be like that. So what're we gonna do?" I snapped
"Scam pool honeys!!!" The boys yelled
"Hey!" Ash piped up "as a representative of the female species I reject that option. Any one of you who wants to scam a lady step right up and let me slap you to get your face prepared for it" I started laughing, only this girl would say something like that "if we get to the pool and I see any of you mutts trying your flirting out on a lady I'll slap you silly and drag you out by your ear" I couldn't breathe I was a laughing so hard.

"Alright boys" I said regaining composure "you heard the girl, get your swimmers and meet up at the pool, and no scamming pool honeys"

I raced home and got changed into my boardies, hurrying to the pool. We waited for everyone to arrive and headed in, stripping off our shirts and diving into the cool water. The relief from the heat was instantaneous. I turned round and... wow. Ash was freaking gorgeous. She was wearing a black and gold bikini that complemented her tanned skin, her stomach was flat from all the exercise she did and... well... she was Hot with a capital H. I'd forgotten the other guys were even here, I was totally fixated on Ash.

"Oh my-" I heard Smalls say from behind me as well as a
"God" from Squints and a
"Holy-" from Ham
"Wow" Exclaimed DeNunez
"Ash... you look... great" I said, struggling to find words to express her beauty. It was then that I realised the other guys were there and staring at Ash. I turned around again, not wanting them looking at her like that. I glared at them
"What are you all staring at?" I demanded, splashing them with water to distract them. Ash jumped into the pool and popped up right beside Smalls, him totally oblivious to her being there. She dove underwater and must've grabbed his ankle or something because he was suddenly being jerked under the surface of the water, he shrieked in alarm before gargling and spluttering indignantly.
"Ash!" He cried outraged but everyone was
laughing, even him.
"Oh I see how it is" Smalls said, pouting. Uh oh I knew that face, he was up to something devious.
"You know what Ash? You need to be ganged up on" I saw the evil glint in his eye and Ash must've too because she immediately turned and started swimming away from us.
"After her boys!" He shouted and we all have chase.

Throughout the day Ash managed to drag everyone down under the water, even me. The first time I saw her swimming up to me and braced myself, warning her off. I didn't notice her the second time, where she dove from the side of the pool and pushed me under.

Everything was going great, until Squints saw that Wendy Peffercorn had come on duty. He'd jumped off the diving board at the deep end of the pool and not resurfaced. Wendy had dived in after him and dragged him out. Squints wasn't breathing and she had to do mouth to mouth resuscitation. Halfway through Squints had wrapped his arms around her head and kissed her.
"You little pervert!" She screeched, hauling him up and grasping him by the ear she hauled him bodily out of the pool complex. At the gate she'd stopped, looked at Ash and the two girls seemed to communicate silently before Ash grasped Squints by the ear and dragged him away.

"Did you know what you were doing?" Ham asked Squints as Ash pulled him along "did you plan that?"
"Been planning it for years" Squints said in a daze
"Guys he planned that, he knew what he was doing the whole time!!" Ham yelled, running to catch up to us.

Eventually we'd said our goodbyes and I'd resolved to bring my feelings for Ash to a head soon.
