(Scarabella POV)
We arrive at the school at 5:28.
Two minutes
"Come one Chat Noir, let's get in there before she starts airing." My eyes fixated on the screen.
"What if we wait?" Chat noir asks nervously, as I'm getting ready to kick down the door.
"What?!" I asks, turning my head quickly.
"Why would you say that?" I ask in a hurry. "Cause I mean, Marinette got akumitized for a reason, and this is clearly the reason, to get Lila to confess all her lies." Chat noir say. " Chat noir, Lila isn't a liar." I say assertively. " 1) you don't know her as well as Ladybug and me, she's lied a few times to us, and it put us in serious danger. 2) What's the harm in letting Marinette do what she needs to do to get it out of her system" Chat noir replies.
" The harm is we don't know what her power could do to someone if it has no reason to be used, it could hurt Lila. And those lies could have just been miscommunication. It is our duty to protect everyone in Paris, so we are going in there before anything happens." I huff out
"Ok, ok let's get in there" Chat noir finally says.
I look at the yoyo screen. It reads 5:29
One minute.
"3, 2, 1.. GO" I  yells
We bust the door open.

(Chat Noirs POV)

We bust the doors open and see Princess Justice towering over Lila.
"You got here just in time. I'm about to reveal every lie this bitch has ever told." Princess Justice says menacingly.
" Help me ,Chat Noir and... who are you?" Lila asks
"I'm Scarabella. I'm filling in for Ladybug at the moment." Scarabella replies.
"Well please help me. I'm scared" Lila screams.
I roll my eyes
If it were up to me I'd leave her to Princess Justice
"No one is gonna help you" Princess Justice yells.
"You sure. Lucky Charm" Scarabella yells out. And she gets a charm.
"A charm. Wow this'll definitely help." Scarabella says sarcastically as she gives it to me to put in my pocket. I stare at the charm for a second. It looks like the charm Marinette gave me.
Why would this be important?
I push the thought aside and get my stick out. I extend the stick.
Scarabella starts swinging the yoyo around to use as a shield.
"Let her go Princess Justice and we can move past a this" Scarabella demands
"I don't think you get it Scarabella. This bitch ruined my life and now I'm going to expose her infront of all the people who adore her whatever fucking reason" she shouts back. I'm taken aback.
Marinette hardly ever swears ,and if she does it is always in good fun.
What has she done to my blueberry?
"Please Marinette, we don't want to fight you" I say, hoping to calm her down. I know it won't work but I'm getting desperate, and I just want Marinette to be ok.
"How desperate are you to call me Marinette. I think I've made it obvious that I am PRINCESS JUSTICE!l" she yells as she takes out her sword and rushes forward. We both dodge the attack. Just barely.
She keeps attacking and we keep dodging. When all of a sudden she strikes but from a bit far away and I see a pinkish comes my way. I swing my stick and the slash is gone.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" I yell rhetorically
"Obviously her power Chat Noir" scarabella yells back
"Don't get hit"
Yeah no shit
Since that shot, Princess Justice has been shooting shots left and right of that same pink strike. One of the shots is shot so low I end up doing a high side flip over her head, and I see the lucky charm fall out of my pocket.
That's Marinette charm.
I don't have time to grab it before it lands by her feet. She looks down and sees the charm, and for a split second I see her fight Monarchs grasp.

She bends down to reach for the charm. She drops the sword and I notice the bracelet on her arm, that looks strangely familiar. And then it hits me.
That's the charm I gave Marinette.
And the charm she just grabbed is the charm that she gave me. A light bulb goes off in my head

"Where did you get this?" She asks demandingly.
"It was my lucky charm" Scarabella replies. She looks at me confused as if asking 'why did you let it fall?' I Ignor the look and proceed with my plan.

"
Is this charm important to you?" I ask her.
"Yes"
A short, quick and true answer
"Was it a gift?"
"No"
Another short,quick and true answer
"Then why is it important?"
No answer.
I take a step forward. And then another. And then another. Before I knew it, I was really close to her.
"Chat Noir, what in Gods good name are you doing?" Scarabella asks frantically.
I don't answer.
"Why is it important to you?" I ask again.
"I gave it to my boyfriend"
Longer answer and true. We're getting there.
"Who is your boyfriend?"
"My boyfriend is Adrien Agrest"
And there we go
"Does it have something to do with your akuma?"
Please say....
"Yes it does"
She looks up to my eyes. Those bluebell eyes. Pleading for help.
For me to help her
"Where is your akuma?"
She lifts her right arm and I see the charm I gave her. She uses her other hand to point to the charm.
I place my hand gently under hers. "Can you take it off and break the connection?"
She takes off the charm. She looks at it. She prepares to break it, but she doesn't.
"I can't. I just can't. He gave it to me." She pleads.
"Don't worry. Scarabellas lucky charm will repair everything." I say reassuring her. I look into her eyes as she looks back into mine.
Come back to me my princess
"I'm sorry I can't." She cries out, weeping as she collapses on the ground. "It means to much."
"Do you want me to break it?" I ask her
"Yes."
She hands the charm to me slowly while still on the ground.
"Thank you." I whisper to her.
"What was that?" Scarabella asks. "Don't worry about it" I say.
"Cataclysm"
I touch the charm and it collapses to dust, and out pops an akuma.
"All yours Bella"

"Time to de-evilise. Gotcha . Bye bye butterfly. Miraculous scarabella." She throws the charm in the air and the magical ladybugs appear and repair everything.
I look down at the charm and see it repaired.
Scarabella puts her arm up to initiate 'pound it'.
I put my fist up as we both say.
"Pound it!"
I look back at Marinette and Lila.
I don't feel like dealing with Lila's lies right now.
"I'll take Marinette home, I know where she lives, you take Lila." I suggest. "Sure. Bye Chat Noir."
She picks up Lila and leaves.
"How are you feeling?" I ask , as I kneel down to Marinette.
"A lot better, thank you Chat Noir" she replies.
She's come back. My princess has come back.
"I think this is yours." I hand her the charm. She looks down in elation and shock. "Thank you Chat Noir." She yells out as she hugs me. I hug her back.
"Let's get you home"
I pick her up bridal style and walk her out of the library door, reach down for my stick and jump.

(Marinettes POV)

After Chat Noir dropped me home I thanked him and called Alya. I ask Alya to come over so we could talk about what happened.
"Hey girl" Alya said as she walked in. "How you feeling?"
"A lot better thanks to you and Kitty." I say. We both laugh.
"Alya I need to ask you something" I say as I sit down on my couch in my room.
"Sure girl, anything." She replies. I gesture for her to sit down next to me. I take a deep breath in.
"Alya this is a big ask." I say. I'm mentally preparing myself for what I'm about to say next.
Just blurt it out
" I need you to be Scarabella for a while."
She and tiki both have a shocked look on her face.
"What, why?" They both ask at the same time.
"If lady bug comes back right after Marinette is de-akumitized, Monarch will figure out that it is me, or that I at least have a connection to Ladybug." I say.
I thought about this on the ride over back to my place.
"I can't be you!" Alya exclaims.
"I'm not asking you too, I'm just asking you to take over. Not for too long. Just a couple days, 2 weeks tops, just to get Monarch off my back." I say calmly, in reality I'm anything but calm.
"And what do I tell Chat Noir?" She asks.
"Just tell him, Ladybug is really sick and will
Be back in a while." I say. I look at Alya and tiki, they both have the same expression on their faces. Skepticism.
"Please." I beg
They both exchange looks.
"If you think it is necessary. Of course , I would do anything for you"
"Thank you"

(Monarchs POV)
"So my previous hypothesis was right. Chat Noir does indeed care for this Marinette dupain-cheng. Now I will use that. MUAAAAAAA"

A/N: ok this is the end of this book. Don't worry I going to write a sequel for this book but I want to take a quick break from miraculous and write about another fandom. I'm going to write one other short book on HH (Val's daughter, to be specific) and then write the sequel. I promise unlike the show I will make use of the fact that monarch knows Marinette is important to Chat Noir.
