Drowning

(Scarabella's POV)
"Let's save her then" Chat Noir says . "Where is she?" Chat Noir asks, " I don't know, my plan was that she would pass by and we would follow her" I respond "Why would she pass here?" Chat Noir asks
Shit
"Uhh... this is her school right? Well I imagine that she got upset from someone here or if she got upset from something else then she would have a personal connection to this place so she would instinctively come here for comfort at least" I say trying not to sound suspicious "Oh... that makes sense I guess"
Ok good save Alya
"Yeah well clearly that plan fail...Ahhh" suddenly an explosion comes up near the Eiffel Tower "Come on seriously what is with the Eiffel Tower and it being the center of nearly every battle?!?" Chat Noir exclaims "Come on Chat Noir, we better get there quick before she moves on"

We go from the school to the Eiffel Tower where, instead of finding Princess Justice we find the aftermath. "Ok so she clearly has been here" I say "Really? What made it so obvious? Was it the fact that LITERALLY EVERYONE IS EITHER COVERED IN SOME PINK GLOW OR HANDCUFFED OR TIED UP!!!" Chat Noir yells "Woah Chat Noir, what has gotten into you?"  I see the look on his face, he clearly regrets yelling "I'm sorry. It is just that this entire time Marinette hasn't been akumitized despite everything that has happened, and seeing her as Monarchs next victim now is kind of hard for me" he says. And dont forget the fact that you kissed her a few weeks ago
"It's ok Chat Noir but if we are going to save her then we need to stay calm, ok" "yeah ok" he replies. "Great now let's try and..."
.BOOM.
"Follow the explosion?" I ask rhetorically
"Follow the explosion" he replies

(Chat Noirs POV)
I still can't believe that Marinette, MY Marinette is Monarchs victim, is it my fault that Marinette got akumitized? I left her alone with someone who I KNEW hated Marinette and Marinette hated her back and I still didn't do anything. I didn't call her to check on her after the shift was over like how Marinette called me after my shift to ask how it went.

And suddenly I feel myself falling, and I feel like I'm losing breath. My body wants to fight but I'm not fighting, I'm not swimming even though I can, I want to breath but I know if I try I'll be in more trouble , so I just relax and fall.

"Chat Noir!!!" I hear a voice say is this what death feels like

"Chat Noir wake up!" Why say Chat Noir if I'm dead

"Chat Noir wake the fuck up!! If Ladybug finds out you're dead she's gonna bring you back to life and kill you again, AND ME AND I CANT DIE!!"
I wake up
"Scarabella? What happened?"
"You fell into the River Seine, and after you didn't come out for five minutes I fished you out. Are you ok? I've never seen you so distracted." She asks "Yeah I'm fine I was just thinking." I respond "Chat Noir, I know a thinking face when I see one and you weren't thinking, you were drowning" she says in response "Yeah, no shit I was drowning, I fell into the Seine" I respond
" I don't mean physically drowning, I mean drowning in thought" she tells me, I feel like she feels bad for me but not in a pity way, in way like she understands me and what I'm going through
"What the hell is do you mean" I ask
" I mean, you're so lost in thought you're not even focusing on what is right in front of you, trust me I've been there and it is not a good place to be. I'm not gonna ask what it was you were so focused on that it caused you to literally drown cause I know that the last thing you want to do is talk about it, but what I always do when I'm drowning is think about the good stuff, like hanging out with my friends, my favorite song if it is really bad then I think about my boyfriend and how he makes me feel so happy" she says. I know she means well, but I can't help but feel angry or annoyed.

Little do you know I was thinking about my girlfriend and how I failed her and wasn't able to protect her.
I want to say something in retaliation but I know that won't be fair on her and it isn't her fault, so instead I say..
"Thanks Scarabella"
