Where is this going?

I was sitting, having breakfast in the campus park, waiting for my friends to come as I arrived early. To be honest, I ran early. I was nervous and couldn't help it.

"How do you look like a sack of rotten potatoes and the most charming and glowing wolf at the same fucking time?" Pond said as he moved towards me.

"I am just..."

"What?" Khao asked.

"I fucked up." I said as I looked at the grass.

"Of course you did." Khao exclaimed.

"I-" I was cut off before I could say anything.

"Hi, baby." I heard Pind say to Phuwin.

"Shut up. I am still mad at you." Phuwin said shutting up Pond.

"Why are you mad at him?"

"You should be too. He was fussing over your mate." Phuwin said throwing daggers at him, "Which reminds me, have you seen P'Non? He took an off yesterday saying he was feverish."

"Yeah. I was with him yesterday. I think he is feeling better now." I could feel the smug smiles around me piercing through my soul.

"Really? Was he fine this morning? He just called saying he won't be here because he has body ache."

All the three heads turned towards me. As if proving a point.

"Yeah- Yeah, he is okay. I gave him some painkillers before coming here." I told Phu.

"He is fine, right? Should I go meet him?"

"He is alright, bunny. Don't worry. He'll join you guys tomorrow." I told him, patting his back, trying to get away from the daggers everyone was throwing at me.

"I'll see you later, Phi. And you, if you don't want to sleep on the couch, have a written apology at my table tonight."

"Okay, sweetheart." Pond said as Phuwin went away.

"written apology?" June said looking at Pond and then at us.

"I knew telling him to take a law class would bite me in the ass."

"What law class?"

"You know, he works in design. And how easily designs are stolen nowadays. And how easy it has gotten to remove digital watermarks. I was worried that someone might steal his piece, so I suggested to take this law class provided by his faculty on how to save your art, and what legal measures can be taken if it does get stolen."

"And now, he is into the fascinating aspect of law."

"Yeah."

"You are fucked, sweetheart." June said mockingly making Pond run behind her as if he'd actually ever hit her.

While the two of them were running around like kids, Khao turned around and looked at me.

"Dare to explain what you did to your mate, who is just your friend by the way?"

"I know. I fucked up."

"What happened?"

"He was in his heat. And it got tougher for me to control. So I gave in to Pat."

"Please tell me Nanon knows this happened."

"He was in his heat, not drunk. He knows it happened."

"Good. Did you talk to him? You know, after the deed?"

"Not yesterday. We did till like 9 at night. Then I washed him up and we slept cuddling. We woke up and we were still cuddling. Then we did have a conversation but it was a weird 'talking to your friend after a hook-up' conversation. It made me so uncomfortable that I made porridge for him, gave him painkillers and my shirt for aftereffects, and then ran away."
