"So when she touches soil, her powers activate." Deaton said. He was speaking to Derek who had gone to the veterinarian clinic after dropping Abigail back at the loft. "is that what you're saying?"
"That's exactly what I am saying." Derek deadpanned. He had already explained everything that had gone down at Scott's house, the fact that the plants seemed to grow, the vern like patterns on her cheeks and what happened with the Oni.
"I have to say that this does sound familiar," Deaton said and Derek perked up with hope. "I just don't know from where, but I will look into it and will let you know what I find. now that we know what type of powers and strengths she could have, it is easier to search for what she may be."
With an irritated sigh Derek nodded. He wished that with the new information, Deaton would immediately know what was going on but unfortunately that was not the case.
His mind drifted off to the blonde woman, from the first moment that they met he has been enthralled by her. Even when she was covered in mud and blood from the neck down.
"...from the neck down.." Derek muttered as his brows furrowed more than usual. He thought about how she looked when they met and how her face was entirely clean of any blood.
"What was that?" Deaton asked and stared at the werewolf with questioning eyes.
"I was just.." Derek began, "I was just thinking about how Abi looked when we first met."
He glanced up at the vet, who tilted his head to the side and nodded for him to continue what he was saying.
"The way her face was clean from any blood while the she was covered in it from the neck down." Derek explained. "It can't be a coincidence that the blood seemingly flowed down from her neck and she can't speak."
"I think I know what you're implying Derek." The veterinarian said with a serieus face. "If that is the case, we need to get Abigail back to the hospital for some examinations."
With a nod of agreement, Derek told the man that they will meet back at the hospital once he picked Abigail up from the loft. With that he left the clinic to get into his car and drive back to the place that has started to feel more and more like home.

"Abby, we're going to visit Melissa at the hospital in a second." Derek said as soon as he opened the door to the loft. However he was met with silence. "Abby?"
Nothing. He listened for breathing, maybe she had fallen asleep upstairs but again nothing. No heartbeat or anything else.
Fearing for something worse, Derek ran upstairs to see if she was there but was met with an empty room, same for the bathroom And for the kitchen. Abigail was nowhere to be found in the loft.
