The Reckoning Within

Tara opens her eyes and sees Gajraj sitting on the ground holding her hand while sleeping. She smiles and looks out the window where some birds are playing in the sky. Tara taps Gajraj's cheek which makes him awake.

Are you feeling okay?

Yes.

Thank goodness.

How long were you here?

From the night.

Why didn't you take a rest? You also got hurt.

You were shivering because of a nightmare. So, I thought it was better to be with you.

Akshar, Kalyani, and Tuhi were able to fight with the other side of people but got injured. They said yes to our deal. Everyone is taking a rest for now.

Gajraj goes and gets the permission from Ashish. And asks Tara to get ready. In the meeting room, something else was going on. Only Kalyani, Akshar, and Ashish are there with some papers, discussing future matters. But Ashish is getting bothered by something.

Ashish: Akshar, did you find any clue?

Akshar: Yes, sir. After the cursed human has been inside the cave, the people around there get mentally weak.

Kalyani: It means they only believe misconceptions. And that's what makes them weak. We have to go there in disguise and kill the people around the building first.

Ashish: What about the source of the city?

Akshar: The rock is inside that building. They tried to open it but it didn't happen. I think only Gajraj can open it.

Ashish: To protect him we need Tara.

Kalyani: Yes. But sir, there is one problem. Our technology system is suddenly buffering so we wanted Tuhi to enter the main base. Even though she is new, she is intelligent.

Ashish: Okay. And Akshar!

Akshar: Yes, sir.

Ashish: Remember that you can't let Tara out from here. She is bound to be in Curtain City. So, convince her with your best that she won't leave. But if she tries to leave it's your duty to capture her until she accepts to live here.

Kalyani: Sir, isn't that too much?

Ashish: I don't know what Siddhi would do if she was here. I am just a replacement until she comes back. If she was here then she would have done something with her listening ability. But I can't do it like her. I am just doing what I think is right.
