The night air seemed to envelop me in such a crisp manner from the open window, feeling as if it was it's own protective barrier from the outside world I'd had to face my entire life in this place I've called home my entire life. I knew danger was on the horizon for me. I chose to wait on becoming a vampire, simply to test the barrier of Caius and his actions. I knew he wasn't bluffing when he said he'd turn me himself. Because I have felt him watching me for the past five days now. The week was almost up, and he would come to collect.

"Caius has been watching you like a hawk, (Y/N). He knows the game you're playing at. But what I don't know, is if he finds it humorous or not like you would hope." Alice said with clear dread in her voice. She was fearful for me, scared that I would end up dead because of my choice. What none of the Cullen's knew, was that I had actually made eye contact with Caius a mere two days ago while he was on his usual watch duties over me. He simply smirked down at me from his post, his shoulder length blonde hair perfectly shining in the light of the moon.

"You know we'll keep you safe. But the Volturi aren't forgiving. Especially him." Edward said from beside Alice, the one that had quickly become like a brother to me from the moment we met. Very protective. And now he's truly shown that for Bella, who I admire like no other. Just like I, she yearns to be a vampire. But alas, they don't think it's a great idea for us to become one.

"Guys! He's here. And he's not leaving. He wants you outside. Now." Alice foresaw his arrival, meaning he would be here at any given time, relaying a message in advance for Alice who they knew could see the future. I deeply sighed in somewhat paralyzing fear that was shocking for the actions I had done in between this new found crisis I had caused.

"I'll talk to him." Was all I could muster, before having to leave the confines of the Cullen home, seeing them all watching me walk out the front door, staying close by in case I needed help.

"Ah. Sweet, sweet (Y/N). Still not a vampire I see. Yet, your beauty always strikes me." Suddenly, he lifted me into his arms and practically flew across the wooded area, away from the Cullen's and into a field I knew all too well. He wanted privacy. But little did he know, that wouldn't happen. I could practically feel Jasper, Emmet, Alice, and Edward further out just watching.

"It's funny how a mere human can strike your fancy Caius. Seeing as how you're a ruthless predator." He eyed me for a brief moment in such a hunger filled manner, one that went far beyond blood lust. He wanted to consume me. In more ways than one.

"You have quite the mouth on you. Considering you have no real power here. Only I posses it." He is on me once more, his right hand coming to tangle itself in my hair, igniting a yelp to escape from between my lips. With eyes frozen in fear on his face, his  angered eyes searched mine.

"You know what I must do. Even with your little friends watching. I could tear you apart. I could scatter your limbs across this field. I could devour you whole. But what's the fun in that, when I could have you to myself....?" He simply smelled me once more, just as he did the first time we met. The smell of my blood utterly melted his senses in an euphoric manner. He was consumed with lustful thoughts that went beyond blood. And he didn't like it. Or so he thought.

"Don't hurt her!" Alice suddenly screamed from behind me with all her might, earning a slight smirk from Caius in return.

"Oh I'm not going to hurt the little Cullen pet. Well.... maybe I will a little." Teeth sunk into my neck in full force in the most painful manner imaginable, my eyes bulging in utter terror. My screams littered the air around us as Caius held my body close to his, sucking tons of blood from within me all at once to satisfy this deep hunger he's had since the minute he saw me. He wasn't going to kill me, no. Sure, I'd be technically dead. But immortal, to satisfy him even further.

"Catch her!" Alice screamed once more as a pair of arms wrapped around my weak body to hoist me up and away, learning it was Jasper who did so before I could collapse to the cold ground below. I could only hear Caius in my mind.

"You're mine now."
