Chapter 9

Gemini's POV

          Everybody started chattering while I couldn't believe what I just said, why did I say that, how can I take such responsibility, my mind started to get dizzy as I ran out to get some air, I felt like tripping, I couldn't contain my emotions, I felt so suffocated as tears started falling from my eyes, why is he so important to be saved?, why was he weak?, why would he ask me to marry him?, why would he burden me like that?. I wanna hate him for doing that to me but I can't.

3rd Person's POV

          As Gemini got back inside after getting himself back together, he saw his mother showering Fourth with love and what not. Mae Ning always loved Fourth and a part of her wanted him to marry her son but she couldn't propose that because she thought that Gemini wouldn't agree but now that he said it himself, she just can't contain her happiness, Both of the fathers agreed only because their mothers thought they're in love and it's cruel to break them apart.

          P'Earth was relieved and started visiting home as much as he use to, he also told Mae Ning about Mix and how he's dating him for ten years and was going to propose to him soon, Mae Ning didn't believe that he hid it for almost a decade without letting anyone know, but she was happy nonetheless.

           On the other hand Gemini would not meet P'Earth as he felt like because of him he is all burdened now. It felt like he just dropped all his responsibilities on his shoulders without even doing anything. Gemini was stuck in an unwanted situation that he never wished to be in, he had dreams and goals and marriage was none of them, Fourth felt guilty every second of the day for forcing Gemini to save him, They didn't speak after the day he got caught, it's already been a week and none of them want the engagement day to come which to no surprise was in two days.

        They have to pretend to be fond of each other as they were in 'love'. Their mothers forced them to go and try the Engagement outfits together with them and to get the rings as well. They both dress up and got seated in the car, Gemini sitting in the passenger seat beside the driver while Fourth sat with their mothers in the back. The way to the designer felt like a decade, they both had a bitter taste in their mouths their heart felt like it was beating in their throats.

        They went in the two changing rooms at the corner of the designer house and change into beautiful suits their mothers chose for them. Fourth's shirt was lilac while his coat was navy with white pants and Gemini's was white shirt, navy waistcoat with lilac coat and pants, their mothers adored their sons how two girls would adore their dolls, they both felt like toys or puppets to be specific, they didn't say anything at all, just whenever their mother would look at them they would smile at each other.

         They also went to the jewelry store where they chose two silver bands with little diamonds adorning them. They reached home and neither of them shared any glances as Gemini was still angry cause he blamed Fourth to drag him into his mess and Fourth blamed himself and was scared to even look at the older boy.

          Two days passed in the blink of an eye and they found themselves dressing up and waiting to be called to the engagement ceremony they held in their garden.

 Only close people were invited and the night looked so pretty with all the lanterns hanging on the trees and white tables with the candles causing a beautiful aroma mixed with the flowers in the garden made everything scream love, which they didn't have. (Irony)

Soon the couple was called and without a doubt no one looked more beautiful than Fourth and more handsome than Gemini that night.

When they came across each other, they stared into each others souls and felt a very unfamiliar warmth in their hearts that they never felt before but than ones anger and ones guilt washed all the warmth out and left them with a cold heart.

They had to act like they were in love but all they could feel was pure fear.After the guests went home and both boys went back to their own respective houses, they couldn't help but think about the future, what it behold and what they will have to leave behind. Exhaustion ran through their bodies and they fell asleep with a frown on their forehead.
