The reporters remained outside U.A. High, pressing forward with their microphones and cameras, eager for any insights about All Might or the students he was teaching. The air was thick with tension and curiosity as questions flew in all directions. Mina and Kirishima exchanged a glance and instinctively took a step back, trying to stay out of the cameras' reach. Kirishima, looking a bit flustered, attempted to respond when a reporter thrust a microphone close to his face.
"Kid, how does it feel to be trained by All Might himself?" the reporter asked, her voice cutting through the chatter around them.
Kirishima blinked, recovering his composure and managing a smile, "Uh, well, it's pretty awesome! He's an inspiration, for sure!"
Mina, standing beside him, grinned brightly. She was clearly more at ease with the attention. "Yeah, he's teaching us to go beyond our limits, like 'Plus Ultra' style!" Her tone was cheerful, and her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm, catching the camera's lens just right.
Ryo observed from a short distance away, his face calm but alert. He noticed how his friends handled the media frenzy with varying degrees of comfort. His own thoughts, however, were more focused on the scene unfolding around him.
The school's massive doors loomed behind them, an imposing barrier that seemed to amplify the reporters' impatience. The scene grew more chaotic by the minute, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The reporters seemed more aggressive than usual, pressing in close, pushing their luck. He saw one particularly persistent female reporter inch closer to the gates, her eyes darting around like a predator searching for an opening.
Just then, a sharp noise cut through the air as the alarm system blared to life, its shrill tone echoing across the courtyard. The massive doors slammed shut with a loud clang, causing the crowd to murmur nervously. The reporters, finally understanding they had pushed too far, began to back away, realizing they would get nothing more today.
Inside the classroom, Aizawa's expression was stern as he addressed the students. His gaze fixed on Bakugo, who was visibly agitated.
"Bakugo," Aizawa started, his voice firm and direct, "you're talented, no doubt about that. But sulking like a child over a loss is beneath you." His words were blunt, cutting through the room's atmosphere like a knife.
Bakugo's face tightened, his fists clenching at his sides. "I'm not sulking..." he muttered through gritted teeth.
Aizawa's eyes shifted to Midoriya, who sat up straighter, his expression a mixture of determination and apprehension. "Midoriya," Aizawa continued sharply, "you managed to win your exercise... by breaking your body again. This excuse of 'I can't control my Quirk' is getting old. Find a way to use it properly without injuring yourself. Train with urgency, or you won't last."
Midoriya swallowed hard, nodding quickly. "Yes, Mr. Aizawa. I understand," he replied, his voice tinged with a mixture of respect and fear.
Aizawa's gaze swept across the rest of the class, his tone still strict but with a hint of anticipation. "Now," he began, "the task I'm about to give you will decide your future..."
The students stiffened in their seats, anxiety spreading across their faces like wildfire. Mina leaned closer to Ryo, whispering, "Do you think it's another crazy test?"
Ryo whispered back, "Wouldn't be surprised..."
Aizawa's mouth curled into a small, knowing smirk. "We need to pick a class representative."
The tension in the room evaporated immediately. The class erupted into a chaotic blend of voices, each student shouting their own name, all wanting to be chosen. Amidst the noise, Ryo's heart quickened. He saw this as a genuine opportunity.
