Alex was in his usual "dentist mode," watching as Linda brushed her teeth. He noticed her routine, the way she carefully brushed her top teeth, but when it came to the bottom left molars, her movements were quick and hesitant.
"Hey," he said softly, stepping closer to her, "you missed those molars on the bottom left."
Linda paused, her toothbrush mid-air, and shrugged. "I always miss them. It's just hard to reach."
Alex, being the protective dentist that he was, couldn't let it slide. He took the toothbrush from her hand with a small, playful smile. "I'll do it for you then. Let me make sure they're nice and clean."
Linda tensed up immediately. The thought of someone else brushing her teeth, especially in the area that always triggered her gag reflex, made her feel uncomfortable. But she didn't want to tell him that. She trusted Alex, but this... this was different.
"Uh, I don't know," she hesitated, trying to subtly pull her head back. "It's not that big of a deal."
Alex, however, was determined. "It is a big deal, babe. You don't want cavities down there, trust me. Just relax, I'll be gentle."
He cupped her face tenderly, tilting her chin just so he could reach better. His hands were firm but soft, reassuring. Linda tried to focus on how gentle he was being, but as soon as the toothbrush neared her back teeth, she could feel the discomfort building.
He gently worked the brush closer, carefully cleaning those stubborn molars. Just as he was about to reach the toughest spot, Linda's gag reflex kicked in, and she instinctively pulled away, coughing a little.
Alex immediately stopped, his hands dropping, his face filled with concern. "Hey, are you okay? What's going on?"
Linda shook her head, embarrassed and a little frustrated. "I... I gag really easily back there. It's why I don't like brushing them."
Alex softened, stepping closer to her again. He touched her cheek gently, his thumb brushing her skin. "You should've told me, baby. I wouldn't have pushed it if I knew. But I can help you get through it, okay? You're going to be fine."
His voice was calm, reassuring, and as much as Linda wanted to protest, she trusted him. She nodded, taking a deep breath as he brought the toothbrush closer again.
"Just breathe," he whispered, his hand still cupping her face, holding her steady. "I've got you."
This time, when the toothbrush reached her molars, she gagged again, but Alex didn't let go. He paused, gave her time to relax, and whispered soothing words to her.
"It's okay. You're doing great, just a little bit more."
She closed her eyes, focusing on his voice, trying to push past the discomfort. He brushed a little more, being as gentle as possible. Even though she gagged again, this time she didn't pull away.
"There we go," Alex finally said, pulling the toothbrush out. "All done."
Linda sighed in relief, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. She still felt a little embarrassed, but Alex's calmness made her feel better.
"See? You survived," he teased, giving her a quick kiss on the forehead. "And now those molars are spotless."
She rolled her eyes, but there was a small smile on her lips. "Thanks, I guess."
Alex smiled back, giving her another quick peck. "Next time, just let me know. I'll always go easy on you, alright?"
Linda smirked as she wiped her mouth, her eyes glinting mischievously. "But you won't need to go easy on me in other places," she teased, her voice playful yet laced with challenge.
Alex raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by her boldness. Without missing a beat, he grabbed her waist and, with that firm yet playful energy, effortlessly tossed her onto the bed. Linda let out a surprised giggle, her hands reaching out to steady herself as she landed with a soft thud.
"Oh, you think you're funny, huh?" Alex's voice was low and teasing as he climbed onto the bed, hovering above her. His grin was devilish, eyes dark with affection and amusement.
Linda couldn't stop laughing, her cheeks flushed with excitement, but she wasn't about to back down. "I know I'm funny," she shot back, biting her lower lip playfully.
That was all the invitation Alex needed. He leaned down, capturing her lips in a deep kiss, his hands resting on either side of her head as he held her in place. Linda melted into the kiss, her laughter fading into soft, breathy moans as their lips moved together. His kisses were intense, filled with passion, but there was still that tenderness behind every movement.
His hands slid down to her waist, gripping her gently as the kiss deepened. Linda's hands roamed up his back, fingers curling into his shirt as she pulled him closer, not wanting the moment to end.
Alex pulled away slightly, just enough to hover his lips over hers. "Still feeling bold, huh?" he teased, his breath warm against her skin.
Linda smiled, her eyes half-lidded, still caught up in the moment. "Always," she whispered back, daring him with her gaze.
With that, he kissed her again, harder this time, their playful banter fading into a moment of pure connection. And even though their teasing had brought them here, it was the warmth and the comfort of being together that made every kiss fell like home.
