Just as she was about to text him, she saw Alex's car pull into the driveway. Excited, she excused herself and made her way towards the driveway to meet him. She found him getting out of the car, holding a large, somewhat mysterious box.

"Alex!" she called out, rushing over. "What's with the big box? You've been gone forever!"

Alex's eyes twinkled with excitement. "I told you I had a surprise. You won't believe what I've got."

Linda's curiosity was piqued. "Oh, do tell!"

With a dramatic flourish, Alex opened the box to reveal a collection of various exotic snacks and treats from around the world. There were bright-colored candies from Japan, savory chips from South America, and rich chocolates from Europe. He even had some artisanal cheeses and exotic fruits packed neatly inside.

"I thought it would be fun to try something new," Alex explained, grinning. "I went to this international market I found and picked up a bunch of stuff. I thought we could do a little taste test with everyone."

Linda's face lit up with excitement. "This is amazing! I've always wanted to try different snacks from around the world."

Alex set up a makeshift tasting station on a nearby table, and soon, everyone was gathered around, eagerly sampling the various treats. There was a sense of adventure in the air as they tried new flavors and shared their reactions.

Linda looked over at Alex with a grin. "You've really outdone yourself this time. This is such a cool idea."

Alex shrugged with a playful smile. "I figured it would be a fun way to add a bit of excitement to the evening. Plus, I knew you'd love it."

The barbecue was winding down, and the cool evening air was a welcome contrast to the warmth of the grill.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue across the sky, Linda and Alex decided to take a leisurely walk before dropping her off at her apartment. They strolled through the quiet neighborhood, enjoying the serene beauty of the twilight.

Alex took Linda's hand gently in his, their fingers intertwined as they walked side by side. The streets were lined with trees, their leaves rustling softly in the breeze. The world seemed to slow down, making the moment feel intimate and special.

Linda glanced up at Alex, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "Thank you for today," she said softly. "The surprise was incredible."

Alex smiled down at her, his eyes twinkling with warmth. "I'm glad you liked it. I wanted to do something memorable for us. I've been thinking a lot about how much I enjoy spending time with you."

They walked in comfortable silence for a few moments, their steps in sync. Alex stopped by a quaint park, where the last light of day painted the sky in shades of pink and orange. He led Linda to a small, secluded bench under a flowering tree, its blossoms giving off a delicate, sweet fragrance.

They sat down, and Alex turned to face Linda, his gaze softening. "I've been wanting to talk to you about something," he began, his voice tender.

Linda's heart raced. "What is it?"

Alex took a deep breath, his eyes locked onto hers. "I've been feeling something very special with you. Every moment we spend together feels more right than the last. I can't help but feel drawn to you in ways I've never felt before."

Linda's breath caught in her throat, her eyes searching his for reassurance. "I feel the same way," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so happy to be with you."

Alex's hand gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing softly across her skin. The touch sent shivers down her spine. He leaned in slowly, giving Linda time to respond, his gaze never leaving hers. She closed the distance, her lips meeting his in a gentle, tentative kiss.

The world seemed to dissolve around them as they kissed. The sensation of his lips against hers was warm and electrifying, a perfect blend of tenderness and passion. Alex's hand slid to the back of her neck, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss. Linda's heart raced, every nerve in her body alive with the moment.

As they slowly parted, their foreheads resting together, Alex's breath was warm against her skin. "I've wanted to do that for so long," he murmured, his voice filled with emotion.

Linda smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "I'm so glad you did."

They sat together for a while longer, basking in the afterglow of their kiss, enjoying the closeness and the shared silence. The night was perfect, filled with the promise of more moments like this to come. As Alex walked Linda to her door, their hands remained intertwined, and the connection they shared felt stronger than ever.
