Chapter 3 - Genin Teams

It's the next day as we open up on Konoha Academy. Inside one room sits the graduating class of Genin. At a table in the middle of the room, Kama sits in his new shinobi clothes, the hitai-ate wrapped around his right leg, with his head being propped up by a hand that's resting on the table. Next to him sits Shikamaru, a boy who comes early to class just so he can find a seat and fall asleep. Kama's other side is empty.

The next to arrive to class is Naruto, now finally replacing his goggles with the hitai-ate, which causes everyone to stop and stare as he enters and sits on a table he believes to be empty. "Hahaha" Naruto laughs to himself as he rests his head on the table.

"Naruto! What are you doing here?!" Another freshly Genin shouts out as he leans over Naruto. "Class today is only for the students who didn't fail!"

Naruto gleefully replies while sticking a thumb up at his forehead. "What?! Can't you see the headband!"

At the back of the classroom, a shy Hyuga Hinata sits watching Naruto, with a blush on her face as she pokes her fingers together. 'I'm glad you passed Naruto.'

Before any more conversations can continue on any longer a loud SLAM sounds from the back of the classroom as the door is forcefully opened. Two girls come speed walking in, arguing and looking like they're about to murder each other. These girls are Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino. "I was first!" Sakura says. "So I get to sit next to Sasuke! Ino-pig!"

"No! I was clearly first! Billboard Brow!" Ino shouts back as they look like they're ready to rip each other's heads off. As Ino shouts this and turns around to look over at Sasuke she catches eye with Kama and sees the empty seat next to him.

"As if I'm going to let you get the seat next to Sasuke!!" Sakura shouts back.

"Meh, you can have it." Ino suddenly says causing Sakura's mouth to drop open as Ino skips down the steps and sits beside Kama. "Hey there."

Kama looks over at Ino for a second before focusing back at the front. "Hi." Hearing this causes Ino to smile and blush slightly before she looks at the front.

"Troublesome blondes." Shikamaru mutters out as he finally gets his head off of the table. "Can't sleep with them around."

After finally getting out of her stupor, Sakura just shrugs confused before going to sit by Sasuke. Only to stop as she sees Naruto in the way. "Excuse me, may I pass?" She asks.

'Sa... Sakura' Naruto thinks with a blush, believing she wanted to sit next to him.

"NARUTO, MOVE IT!!" Sakura suddenly shouts. "I'M TRYING TO GET AROUND YOU!"

Naruto then looks over to finally notice the guy he sat next to. Uchiha Sasuke. The class heart-throb and who Naruto absolutely hates. Sasuke then notices Naruto looking at him. "You want something." Sasuke asks.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Naruto asks trying to be tough. "Are you talking to me?!"

Naruto's head is then pushed down into the seat as Sakura leaps over him to sit next to Sasuke. "GOOD MORNING SASUKE, IS THIS SEAT TAKEN..?"

"AAAK!!" Naruto screams out in pain.

Sakura now sits next to Sasuke, much to the jealousy of other girls in the class, with the rest of the class being loud as usual. 'Today's the day that Sasuke will be mine!!' Inner Sakura shouts in her head, 'The mission goal - FIRST KISS!!'
