Goo stirred awake as the ringing of his phone broke the peaceful silence. He shifted slightly, reaching into his pocket to grab it. His eyes still heavy with sleep, he glanced at the screen and saw Charles' name flashing.

He sighed, clearly annoyed by the interruption. With a quick glance at you, he muttered, "I need to take this," before answering the call.

"Yeah?" Goo's voice was groggy but sharp. You could hear Charles speaking, though you couldn't make out the words. Goo's expression hardened as the conversation continued, his playful, relaxed demeanor fading away.

After a minute, Goo ended the call, stuffing his phone back into his pocket. He ran a hand through his hair, now fully awake.

"Looks like something's come up. Charles wants me to meet him," Goo said, glancing at you with an apologetic look. "I'll be back soon."

Before you could say anything, Goo added, "Stay here, rest up. I don't want you getting into more trouble while I'm gone." There was a softness in his voice, a protective edge that wasn't there before.

He stood up and started preparing to leave.

You reached over to grab your phone from the desk, the weight of everything that had happened pressing down on you. As you dialed Mira's number, a sense of comfort washed over you after hearing her voice.

The phone rang a few times before she picked up. "Y/N? Oh my god, where have you been? I've been so worried!" Mira's voice was full of concern, instantly making you feel a little better.

You smiled weakly, trying to keep your tone light despite everything. "Hey Mira. I missed you too. Sorry for going off the grid. Things have been... crazy."

"Crazy? Y/N, are you okay? What happened?" she asked, her voice rising with worry.

You hesitated, not wanting to burden her with too many details. "I'm fine, I promise. Just... needed some time away. I'll tell you everything when I see you."

There was a pause on her end before she sighed. "Alright, just promise me you'll take care of yourself, okay? I hate it when you disappear like this."

You nodded even though she couldn't see you. "I promise. I'll see you soon."

After a few more exchanges, you hung up, feeling a bit lighter. Mira's concern reminded you that despite everything, you still had people who cared about you.

Feeling a bit restless, you opened up a shopping app, hoping to distract yourself. You scrolled through pages of clothes, your finger instinctively adding items to your cart—cute tops, oversized hoodies, trendy sneakers, and skirts. It was almost therapeutic, the mindless act of browsing, even though you weren't entirely sure you'd buy any of it.

After a while, your cart was full of items, a mix of cozy and stylish clothes. You stared at the total price, chuckling to yourself. "Maybe I'm going overboard," you thought, but it was nice to indulge in something simple after everything you'd been through.

Just as you were about to continue, Goo glanced over. "What are you doing?" he asked, noticing the shopping app on your phone.

You shrugged, grinning a little. "Retail therapy. Want to buy me something?" You teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Goo raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You fill the cart, I'll see what I can do." His response caught you off guard, but his playful tone made you laugh.

You bit your lip as you stared at the total—$970. You glanced at Goo, half-expecting him to back out, but his expression remained the same, calm and teasing.

"That's... a lot," you said, feeling a little embarrassed. "I was just joking, you know."

Goo smirked, leaning back on the couch. "I'm not. Finish the order if you want. Consider it a thank you for, you know, not frying me with your powers... again."

You blinked, taken aback. "You're serious?"

He nodded, casually pulling out his phone. "Go ahead. I've spent more on less."

You hesitated for a moment, but then decided to go for it. After all, a bit of comfort wouldn't hurt after the chaos you'd been through. With a click, the order was placed, and you put your phone down, feeling a strange mix of excitement and disbelief.

"Thanks... I'll make it up to you," you said, though you weren't entirely sure how.

Goo waved it off. "Just don't wreck another wall with me in it, and we'll call it even."
