Unexpected Love

Chapter 5

Ava
"Sweet dreams," I say, before closing the door as he turns and walks away. With the door closed I lean against it heavily, touching my lips with my fingers. Wow what a kiss.
"So, how was it? You look pretty happy," Nancy says, pulling my attention to her and Brittney on the couch staring at me. I can feel my face heat up with a blush, as I rush to my room, trying to think of a way to get out of telling them what happened. I make it to my room and am about to shut my door, but Nancy and Bethany are already right behind me looking concerned.
"Is everything ok?" Brittney asks.
"Did he do something to you? If he did I'll kick his ass," Nancy said looking into my eyes, and then at my lips.
"Yes everything is ok. I had a wonderful time, and he was a perfect gentleman. Can I just have a minute to myself to change and wash my face before I go into the rest of it?" I ask looking between my friends.
"Ok of course, we'll wait in the living room when you're ready," Brittney stays rubbing my shoulder. They head back over to the couch, and shutting my door I change into my pajamas, take the hair clip out of my hair, and tossing it into a bun. Taking a deep breath know I can't avoid telling them forever I head to the bathroom to wash my face. When I curl up on the love seat facing them, Nancy hands me a root beer.
"Hun if you want I'll braid your hair and it will save some of the curls," Brittney says, getting up and walking over to me.
"Ok sure," I say smiling at her.
"So, tell me everything," Nancy states, making me look at her. She's usually not the type to say something like that.
"Ok, well after he picked me up he took me to Lil' Italiano, where we had a wonderful meal. Well almost perfect," I say, frowning at the thought of Ashley.
"What do you mean almost?" Brittney asks, as she taking my hair out of my hasty bun.
"Well the waitress we got stuck with was jealous that I was with Hades and kept glaring at me. She even undid a couple of the buttons on her top before returning to our table. Hades ignored her completely, only paying attention to me, which was nice. Then when I went to the bathroom she came in as I was washing my hands. She kept saying all this crap, and I tried ignoring her until she slapped me, and well," I say, recalling how good it felt to slap that bitch.
"Well what?" Nancy asks with a little hop.
"Well my anger got the best of me and I punched her," I reply with a shrug.
"Dang girl, I've seen you lay grown ass men out with just one of your full strength punches," Nancy says grinning at me.
"Anyhow I left her in the bathroom and went back to the table where after making sure I was ok, Hades dragged her into the kitchen. His friend own the restaurant, and I didn't get to hear everything, but when Hades started yelling about how she hit me and what not. It was nice knowing he was standing up for me," I continued.
"Wow, I hope she got fired," Brittle replies.
"She did indeed. Anyhow, after she was fired we got a new waiter, and enjoyed the rest of our meal peacefully. After dinner we went to the movies and watched Afraid, which was really good. You'd like it Nancy. So what's you guys do?" I ask, hoping that they'll let the rest got.
"Oh no you don't sweetheart, I saw how you looked when you came in. There's more," Brittney says, putting my hair tie in at the end of the braid.
"I was hoping you would let that go," I say looking back at her.
"No way, give us the details hun," Nancy said, leaning on the arm of the couch, closer to me.
"Well he held me during the movie, and we just enjoyed each other's presence on the drive back. Then at the door he kissed me, and it was," I say looking at the door almost wishing he'd walk through it.
"And?" Nancy and Brittney ask at the same time.
"It was hot and steamy, but he was a gentleman. So he pulled away, only to kiss me again, before we said our goodbyes and good nights," I tell them, absentmindedly running a finger across my lips.
"Dang girl, does he have any brothers?" Nancy asks sitting back on the couch.
"I don't know, I'll have to ask him," I reply.
"Yes and if he has more than one you have to hook us up," Brittney says going back over to the couch.
"Yea, yea, we'll have to see," I reply with a smile.
"I'm glad you had a good time with him," Nancy says smiling at me.
"Thanks, I am too. I was worried that it wouldn't go well," I tell her.
"Are you looking forward to your next date with him?" Brittney asks.
"Yes, but I'm also looking forward to just texting with him," I answer, with a smile.
"You really like him don't you?" Nancy asks reaching her hand out and putting it on my knee.
"I do and I look forward to get to know him better. I think I'm going to go chill in my room, good night you two," I reply, getting up.
"Ok good night hun," Nancy says as I get up.
"Yea good night Ava," Brittney calls as I close my door. I crawl into my bed grabbing my phone.
