Hades
I knock on Ava's dorm door, and say hello, when Nancy opens the door.
"Hello Hades, come on in," Nancy says, giving me a smile.
"Hello, and thank you," I reply looking around for Ava. Nancy is about to say something, but I'm distracted by Ava as she steps out of what must have been her room. She look gorgeous in her pink sweater and jeans, her hair was curled and half of it was pulled back, and her light makeup.
"You look wonderful," I can't help but say.
"Thank you, you look pretty good yourself," she says, looking me over.
"You're welcome, and thank you for saying so. You might want a jacket, it's a little chilly out," I suggest.
"Ok I'll be right back," she says, laying her purse down on the counter, and disappears into her room.
"You treat her right Hades," Nancy warns, crossing her arms over her chest, as Ava walks back out wearing the same leather jacket from the other night, and grabs her purse.
"I'm all set," she says, walking over to me.
"Ok, shall we?" I ask holding my arm out to her. She gives me a quick nod, taking my arm. Her friends call out goodbye as we'll exit out into the hall.
"Your friends care about you a lot," I say once she shuts the door and retakes my arm.
"They do, they've become more like sisters to me," she says with a nod and a smile. We walk outside and letting go of her arm, I step over to the passenger side and open the door for her.
"Thank you," she say after climbing in and looking up into my eyes.
"You are very welcome," I reply, before closing the door and going around to the driver side. I watch her out of the corner of my eye, as she buckles her seatbelt.
"So where are we going?" She asks as I pull out.
"Well I hope you like Italian. There's  this nice little Italian restaurant that makes the best and authentic food I have ever eaten," I reply with a smile. She smiles back at me, as I weave in and out of traffic, and within a few minutes I  pull into the parking lot of L'italianos.
"Oh I feel underdressed for here, and don't you need a reservation?" She asks, fiddling with her hands.
"Ava, you look wonderful, I have a standing reservation here for whenever I want. Now let's go eat," I say, gently placing my  hand on top of hers.
"Oh, ok," she says, as she undoes her seatbelt, while I climb out and go to her side. She goes to open her door, but I open it for her and  hold my hand out to her.
"Thank you," she says, taking my hand and I help her out of the car. We walk to the door, that already has a line out on the street. I place my hand on her lower back, so she doesn't get caught in the crowd, as I guides her right up to the door and inside to the hostess stand. I waits patiently for her to finish talking to the gentleman in front of her before her full attention turns to me.
"Oh, Mr. Hades, I'll get your booth ready as soon as possible, if you'll mind waiting at the bar," she says, before rushing off.
"You must come here a lot," she says looking up at me as I guide her to the bar.
"I do come here whenever I am free. I own a large portion of the stocks for this restaurant, and the corner is a personal friend," I explain, and offer to take her .coat. She looks caught off guard by what I said. She slides her jacket off handing it to me, and she takes a seat, as I hand our jackets to the hostess, as she shows up back at my side giving Ava a weird look. The hostess takes the coats and disappears, before going back to her booth. I slide onto the stool next to her as the bartender comes over.
"What can I get you and your date Mr. Hades?" He asks.
"I'll have my usual. What would you like?" I  ask turning to Ava.
"I'll have an espresso martini, please," she replies smiling at me. I love her smiles, they could light up a whole room. The bartender nods his head and started making our drinks, as a waiter approaches us.
"Mr. Hades, if you and your date would kindly follow me, your table is ready," the young lady says, as she looks Ava up and down, and that rubs me the wrong way.
"I'll bring your drinks over sir," the bartender calls as we stand. We followed the waitress over to my usual booth in the back corner, where Ava slides in and I  slid in next to her, as the waitress handed us menus.
"My name is Ashley I will be your waitress. I'll give you a few minutes to look over the menu and be back to take your orders," Ashley says, smiling at me, but I ignore her and look at the menu. I caught the glare she gives Ava from the corner of my eye, this girl is pissing me off already.
"So what do you recommend?" Ava asks, turning to look at me, which makes me smile.
"Honestly, it's all good, but my favorite is the creamy shrimp risotto," I say as I reach over and point to it on her menu.
"Ok, I might just have to try that," she says, with a smile.
"You will not be disappointed," I reply smiling down at her, as the bartender brings our drinks over, setting them in front of us.
"Sorry for the wait," he says with a bow of his head, before going back to the bar. A few minutes later Ashley walks over to our table.
"Have you decided what you would like Mr. hades?" She asks, smiling at me.
"Have you?" I ask turning to look at Ava.
"Yes I think I'll try your favorite," she replies, setting her menu on the table and sliding it towards Ashley.
"Two orders of the creamy shrimp risotto, and two glasses of Albariño," I tell the waitress, as I puts my  arm on the back of the booth behind Ava and turns towards her.
"Yes sir, they'll be right out," she says, glaring daggers at Ava. I'm going to have to have a talk with Anthony about this girl.
"What is her issue. Since she first approached us, she has shooting nasty looks at me," Ava mumbles to herself, making me frown. I had hoped that Ava hadn't picked p on Ashley's jealousy.
"Well you are gorgeous inside and out from what I can tell, and you're here with me. All the waitresses know not to bother me with flirting with me or anything, but she's new. If she doesn't stop I'll put an end to it and her job here," I  say, picking up and playing with a strand of her hair that had slid from behind her ear, as she blushes  at my words.
"So what you're saying is that she's jealous that you're with me and not flirting with her," Ava says quietly with a  smile as she subtly lean towards me. I like this side of Ava, it's bold, and exciting, nut to be fair I like Ava as a whole so far. I smile back at her, letting my hand drop the piece of hair I was playing with and moves to down to her hip.
"Well yes that, and she wishes she was as breathtaking as you," I tell her, leaning closer feeling my pants tighten, and before anything else happens Ashley shows up with a bread basket.
"Oh sorry for interrupting," she says setting the basket on the table. I notice a few of her shirt buttons have been undone revealing her cleavage, and I curse her for interrupting. Ava rolls her eyes as she sits back in her seat, but she lets me keep my hand on her hip.
"It's fine, don't come back until our meals are ready. We don't need anything else till then," I tell Ashley, who storms away. Running a hand through my hair. I notice Ava bite her bottom lip, which just makes me want to suck it out from between her teeth, and she notices me staring at her mouth, and releases her lip. I watch with a smile as she gets lost in thought for a second., as I run my hand through my hair again. I need to get it cut soon, I think as I take a sip of my whiskey.
"I'll be right back," Ava says, going to slide out of the booth.
"Is everything okay?"" I asks, putting my drink down and looking at her.
"Yes, I just need to use the ladies room," she replies, with a blush. Man she is sexy when she blushes, and I can't help, but wonder if that blush could cover her whole body as she lay. Stoping that thought in its tracks I bring my focus back to the present.
"Oh, the restrooms are right over there," I say pointing to my right, where you can see the sign for the restroom.
"Be right back," she replies, heading towards the restroom signs. I take several more sips trying to calm myself down before I did something to ruin this, I think as I adjust myself. I can't help but keep glancing towards the restrooms, and almost miss Ashley sliding into the girls bathroom. I was about to go put a stop to whatever Ashley was planning, when a minute later Ava comes storming out back to the table. She slides in and starts going through her purse for something, but that's when I notice the angry red handprint on her face.
"What the heck happened to you?" I ask, gently cupping her face and turning her head to look at it.
"It's fine, I hit her harder," Ava replies nodding her chin towards the bathroom as Ashley walks out clutching her cheek. I look over at Ashley and back to Ava, and I can feel my blood starting to boil.
"Stay here, I'll be right back," I tell Ava, rubbing my  finger over her cheek gently, before getting up. I storm over to Ashley, grabbing arm and dragging her into the kitchen with me. I drag her over to Anthony's office in the back of the kitchen.
"Anthony we need to talk," I say poking my head into his office door.
"What's up Hades?" Anthony asks, getting up and joining me in the kitchen, noticing my grip on Ashley.
"She is the problem, she has been causing issues between me and my date because of her jealousy," I reply trying to keep calm.
"Ok, ok. Hades please let her go before you hurt her and cause a whole new problem," he says, and I begrudgingly let go of Ashley's arm, who instantly takes a step away and rubs her arm while looking at her feet.
"Ok thank you. Now what has happened for you to drag her in here like this?" Anthony asks looking between me and Ashley.
"She hit my date!" I yell.
"I'm so sorry for her behavior Hades," Anthony says.
"Why did you hit her? I made it obvious that I had no interest in you, since you approached us," I  shouted, running my hands through my hair.
"Why not me though? I am so much hotter than her, and I would make you so much happier than she could. Yes I hit her, but she punched me!" Ashley yelled.
"That right there is why. She is better than you in every way, inside and out. You should hope to be more like her. Anthony, you need to do something about her, and keep her away from me and my date," I say, taking a couple of deep breaths to calm myself down. I cold already feel the heat of the flames from my God form trying to break loose.
"Of course Hades, I'll find you a new waiter. Ashley clean out your locker, you're fired," Anthony replies calmly.
"What why? Because of her!" Ashley yells.
"You hit a guest, you should have known better, but you let your jealousy, and greed get the better of you. Now goodbye," Anthony relies, as Anthony and I head back out to the dining room, and I slide back into the booth beside Ava.
"Ava this is Anthony, he's the owner here. And a friend of mine," I introduces him to her.
"Hello," she says holding her hand out.
"Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you, and I am so sorry about what has happened," he replies, shaking her hand.
"It's ok, I'm just glad it has been handled," she replies.
"Well I must go find you a new waiter. Have a good evening," he says, with a nod of his head before he returns to the kitchen. I take a long sip of my whiskey, and release a sigh, letting my shoulders relax.
"Are you ok?" Ava asks, reaching over and placing a hand over mine.
"I'm ok, this is just not how I imagined our first date going," I reply with a chuckle.
"Me either, but let's make the best of it," she says with a giggle.
"I have to say though, you must give one heck of a punch, her face was already bruising and her eye was swelling," I say shaking  my  head, looking at her with astonishment and wonder.
"I hit her that hard? I thought I had held back," she says, and I can tell she feels bad.
"What! You held back? I would hate to be on the receiving end of a full punch from you then," I reply with a smirk, trying to cheer her up.
"You're safe, as long as you don't make me mad," she says  winking at me. Our food arrives shortly after by a young man, and we enjoy our meals in peace.
After desert, I pay, and we climb back into my car heading off to the movie theater, as the sun goes down. As I drive, I reach my right hand out taking her left one from her lap, unable to help myself from touching her or holding her in some way. I can feel her staring at her hands, and wonder if she thinks our hands fit together perfectly like I do. I come to a stop in a parking spot of the AMC theater. I let her hand go to put the car in park and turn the car off, before climbing out and walking around to her side. She takes my offered hand when I open the door for her. I keep her hand in mine, as I leads the way inside. We come to stop inside in front of a display showing what movies are being shown, and I let her look them over.
"What would you like to watch?" I ask watching her.
"How about Afraid, the trailers for it look pretty good," she replies turning to face me.
"What's that one about?"
"Well this family gets this ai installed in their home, and it goes crazy," she explains
"Ok, sounds interesting, let's get our tickets," I say smiling at her as I gently pull her hand towards the counter. We get our tickets, two large drinks, a large popcorn to share, and I also bought some milk duds. She follows behind me carrying her soda, and my milk duds, into theater number three, and down the aisle to our seats. I let her  in first, and take the aisle seat for myself. After taking her seat I notice her pull her phone out and switch it to silent, as the trailers started. Copying her I turn my phone to silent and turn towards her and smile.
"What?" She asked with a faint blush.
"Nothing, I'm just enjoying my time with you," I tell her.
"Oh. I am too," she replies, smiling back at me . I reach my hand out holding hers.
"I hope it's ok, I like holding you," I say, looking deep into her green eyes that almost seem to glow.
"It's ok, I like holding your hands too," she replies, her blush darkening.
"Just my hands?" I ask her teasingly.
"Well, I haven't gotten the chance to hold the rest of you," she replies boldly, taking me by surprise and I can't help but lean in to whisper in her ear.
"Give it time angle, and you will get that chance. In the mean time, would it be ok if I wrapped my arm around you?" I ask, letting the tip of my noise brush her ear, while inhaling her scent that smells like honeysuckle.
"If I must wait then so be it," she says boldly, "and yes it is ok with me."  I smile at her reply, enjoying how she's coming out of her shell around me, as I let her hand go and wrap my  arm around her shoulders, loving how perfectly we fit together. I watch the trailers with a smile as she gets lost in her thoughts, hoping it was all good. I continue watching the trailers, while keeping an eye on her with a smile. I didn't miss the way her eyes trailed from my face to zeroing in on my lips. Oh so that's what you're thinking about sweet angel, don't worry I would like to kiss you too. I gently squeeze her shoulder as the movie starts, snapping her from her thoughts. She smiles at me, before leaning into me, and turned her attention to the screen. I loved that she felt comfortable enough with me to do that. Throughout the movie I kept my arm around her, and had a hard time paying attention to the movie.
After the movie finished, we threw our garbage out, and walked hand in hand back out to my car. On the drive back to her dorm I turned the radio on, and held her hand. I was surprised when Ava started quietly singing along with the song. Her beautiful voice put an easy smile on my face.
"You have a lovely voice," I say, as I pull up the school drive.
"Thank you, I don't sing often unless I'm by myself," she replies, with a shrug.
"Feel free to sing in front of me anytime," I tell her, coming to a stop in front of my dorm. Taking her hand, after I open her door, we walk inside and climb up the stairs. In front of her door, I she stops and turns toward me with a smile.
"I had a wonderful time."
"As did I," I say, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear.
"Would you like to come in?"
"No thank you, but maybe next time," I reply, reaching my hand out and cupping her cheek. We lean closer, and I gently kiss her, as she tilts her head up to meet my lips. My other hand reaches up and holds her other cheek, as she wraps her arms around my neck. I take a step closer unable to help myself, my hands leaving her face to wrap them around her slender waist. I deepen the kiss and am happy when she accepts it just as hungrily as I am. I gently pull back, catching our breath and trying to calm down.
"We should probably stop," I say about to pull away more.
"Yea we probably should," she says biting her bottom lip. I groan as she bites that infuriating lip, and can't help but pull her closer kissing her again, sucking that lips into my mouth gently, as her hands find their way into my hair gently tugging as she deepens the kiss. With another groan I pull away completely, unable to hide how aroused I am, noticing her eyes linger. God what I will do to her someday.
"I have been wanting to do that since the restaurant, and as much as I'd like to continue this, I can't. It's too soon in our relationship, and I don't want you regretting it," I begrudgingly say, wiping a hand down my face.
"Ok, you're right, we shouldn't rush," she replies, fidgeting with her hands.
"I don't want you to get the wrong idea, I would love to stand here and make out all night, but I don't want you to feel rushed about anything," I tell her, gently picking my hands up in mine.
"Thank you, but when the time does come, promise to take my  word when I tell you I'm ready," she says, taking a deep breath.
"I will," I say smiling at her.
"Ok. Thank you for a wonderful date," she replies smiling back.
"It was my pleasure, and I look forward to next time," I say stepping closer and giving her a peck on the lips.
"Good night Hades," she says,  taking a deep breath, and opening her door.
"Good night Ava. Sweet dreams."
"Sweet dreams," she says, before closing the door as I turn and walk away, regretting putting a stop to what was happening, but knowing deep down I did the right thing. I walk out to my care, hoping in I take it back to my garage I keep up her. With my car safely tuck away I snap my fingers, and plop down on my couch. What a night, how am I going to make it to Friday to see her again, I think as Cerberus comes over and lays his head on my leg.
"Ok boy let's go for a walk. We could both use one right now," I say grabbing his leash.
