Ava
Hades and I have been dating for almost a month now it has gone by fast, and it has been amazing. He has taken me to an art gallery, museum, to the movies a few times, and he even took me roller skating once. It's been great so far, and I am truly in love with him, and I think he loves me too, even if we haven't said it aloud yet.
"Hey are you paying attention?" Nancy asks, waving her hand in front of my face, snapping me from my thoughts.
"Huh, what's up?" I ask looking at her.
"I was asking you what you're up to tonight? Brittney is dragging me out to the club," she says, shaking her head.
"Oh I'm staying home, unless Hades surprises me again with something," I say, putting a bookmark in the book I was reading.
"Lucky, I don't want to go out tonight," Nancy whines as Brittney walks into the living room.
"Hey I get her staying home, she has a boyfriend. Please just come with me," Brittney begs.
"Oh I guess," Nancy replies, getting up and heading to her room.
"Thank you," Brittney calls after her, going to get ready. Shaking my head at my friends, I return to my book. A few minutes later they come out and wave goodbye as Brittney rushes Nancy out the door.
Getting up off the couch an hour later, I riffle through the cupboards looking for something to eat, when a knock came from the door. Shutting the cereal cupboard, I opened the door.
"Oh hey Hades, you should have told me you were coming over," I say finding Hades standing there, looking concerned.
"What's going on? Is everything ok?" I ask shutting the door after he walks in.
"No not really. Are we alone?" He asks looking around the room.
"Yea, Brit and Nancy went out to the club. They won't be back till later tonight," I ask watching him,, feeling my stomach tightening with concern.
"Ok good. There's something big I have to tell you," Hades replies, taking my hand and leading me to the couch. Sitting down next to him as he turns to me.
"First off I love you Ava, and will protect you no matter what," he says running a hand through his short hair, making me wish he hadn't cut it.
"I love you too Hades. Please just tell me what's going on, I'm getting worried."
"I'm sorry that was not my attention. Do you remember when we first met and you compared my name to the Greek god?"
"Yes, why?"
"Well when I said my parents liked it, that was partially true. Ok, Ava I am Hades, God of the underworld. I am sorry for keeping it from you, but I was worried you'd think I was crazy."
"What?" I ask looking into his eyes to see if this was some weird joke.
"It's true Ava, and my brother Zeus has been starting problems, that has led to war. He will use anything he can against me or any of the other gods," he says gently rubbing my arms.
"Ok, so you're saying he will come after me to hurt you?"
"Yes. He has before, when he killed my wife Persephone while she was here on earth brining spring in. It almost killed me loosing her, and if I loose you too it will kill me. I want to take you home with me where I can protect you better," Hades says, pulling me into his arms. I stay in his arms absorbing everything, feeling hurt that so much was kept from me. I understood why he did and he was doing the right thing now by telling me.
"Hades," I say, pushing back to look him in the eyes, "this is a lot to take in and I get it. I can't just take off, what if he comes here looking for me and hurts Brittney or Nancy."
"They'll be ok, he won't come here, by now he already knows I'm here getting you," he says cupping my cheek.
"But what if he comes trying to draw me back, and what about school," I say feeling overwhelmed, pushing myself off his lap and pacing.
"I'm sorry, I know it's a lot, and I'm asking to much," he says getting up, and trapping me in his arms," hopefully you'll forgive me," he says, kissing my forehead where heat erupts and everything turns black.

Hades
Picking her up in my arms, I carry her to her room, where I lay her on the bed. I dig through her closet looking for a suitcase. Finding a duffel bag I start shoving clothes into it, along with a few pairs of shoes, her phone charger, hair brush, hair ties, two of her throw blankets, and her robe. In her backpack I load her books, notebooks, and her laptop with the charger. Laying her bags by the bed I quickly scribble a note down for her friends and leave it on the kitchen counter, before picking her bags, and her up. With a snap of my fingers were in my house, making Cerberus bark.
"Shh, don't wake her," I tell him carrying her into my room and lay her down on my bed. Setting her bags on the bench at the foot of the bed, I cover her up, and sit in bed next to her as Cerberus comes in. I watch as Cerberus walks over to her, sniffing her from head to toe, before looking at me and climbing onto the foot of the bed. While laying there I text Rebecca letting her know that I would be working at home for the time being. I smile at Ava as she subconsciously snuggles closer to me on the bed, I just hope she will forgive me for bringing her here without her permission.
