Hades
I look down at Ava asleep on my arms, feeling exhaustion trying to claim me, I silently get up, sliding my boxers back on, and go clean the living room up. I put the rest of the food and wine in the fridge, turn the tv off, grab our clothes, lock the door, and return to Ava's room, shutting the door behind me. I shoot my assistant a text asking her to walk Cerberus's and take him home for me, before crawling back into the bed, tucking Ava against my chest. I cover us with a blanket, and wrap my arms around her, allowing sleep to claim me.
I woke up sometime later as Ava started to stir, but then I heard the front door open. Ava looked up at me with her hands on my chest.
"Brit and Nancy must be back," she whispers sleepily, as I hear shuffling and the door shutting in the living room.
"Yea it sounds like it. Do you want to get up?" I ask, hoping she says no. She shakes her head and lays her head down on my shoulder. With a smile I adjust the blanket on us and tighten my hold on her as I lay head back resting my chin on top of her head.
"She must be asleep," Brittney said from the living room.
"I'll check on her," I heard Nancy reply. I look down at Ava to see her eyes widen. I go to move, but she shakes her head, gives a little shrug and snuggles against me. With a smile I rest my head back down, listening to her breath, as Nancy opens the door and pokes her head in. Nancy covers her mouth, before closing the door, and walking away.
"So, Ava is in bed," I hear Nancy say.
"Ok, what's with the look?" I hear Brittney ask.
"She's not in bed alone," I try ignoring their conversation but it's hard when Brittney opens Ava's door and looks inside, before shutting it.
"I think it's Hades. Do you think they," I hear Ashley say.
"Well maybe, but until we talk to Ava, I'm not going to assume a thing. For all we know they were just relaxing and cuddling in her room and fell asleep," I heard Nancy reply, liking her a little better. They eventually walked away from Ava's bedroom to their own rooms, I'm assuming since it got quiet. Lowering my nose to Ava's hair I breathe in her scent and let it calm me back to sleep.
I woke up again as the first rays of sun pooled into Ava's room. Carefully climbing out of her bed, leaving her covered in the blanket, I smile as she hugs the pillow I had slept on. I slide my jeans back on before grabbing my shirt and heading to the bathroom, where I take a quick shower and get dressed. Once cleaned I walk back into Ava's room jotting a note down, leaving it on her nightstand in case she wakes up while I'm gone. I close her door behind me, slip my shoes on, and slide out of their dorm. I start my car and head over to one of my favorite bakeries and coffee shops, getting a variety of muffins, two sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwiches, and two large caramel cappuccinos. Placing the large bag from the bakery in the passenger seat, and the drinks I set in between my legs, and head back to Ava's dorm. Carrying everything back upstairs, I slid back in through the door I left unlocked. Kicking my shoes off, and locking the door, I carry everything into her bedroom. As I open her door I find her standing near her closet, with her hair in a towel, and her robe is draped across her bed.
"Good morning," I say, as I close the door.
"Good morning," she replied looking at me over her shoulder as she slips a pair of thongs on. I quickly set the bag and our coffee down on her desk before walking over to her and wrapping my arms around her waist.
"You're not hurting are you?" I ask kissing her neck.
"I'm fine just a little sore," she says turning in my arms, and kissing me.
"Ok good. Did you see my note?"
"No, I must have missed it," she replies, tilting her head.
"I left it on your nightstand. It just said I was going to get coffee and breakfast. So finish getting dressed," I say giving him rear a light slap, making her giggle before she turns and gets dressed. As she finishes getting dressed I stretch out of the bed and watch her, fascinated by everything about her. I loved Persephone, but with Ava it's different, more pure and all consuming. She has been on my mind non stop since I saw her in the club, and if I didn't know better I would say Eros had messed with me, but I would have seen him if he had. Snapping out of my thoughts I watch as Ava ties her shoes, and climbing off the bed I hand her one of the cappuccinos.
"Thank you," she says taking it and taking a sip.
"You're welcome Angel," I reply, as I grab mine and the bag of goodies. We walk out to the kitchen and take a seat at the island. I dig through the bag pulling out the sandwiches, handing her one.
"There's also muffins," I tell her as she takes her sandwich.
"Ok thank you," she says smiling at me. As we eat or breakfast watching each other, Nancy comes out. She looks at the two of us before making some coffee, before leaning against the counter.
"Good morning," she says with a grin.
"Good morning," Ava greets her with a blush.
"Good morning. There's muffins in the bag if you would like some," I reply with a smile and take a sip of coffee.
"Oh, thanks," Nancy says leaning forward and looking in the bag before pulling out a blueberry muffin.
"You're welcome, I made sure to get plenty for everyone," I say as Ava finishes her sandwich.
"I have to get going. I'll talk to you later Angel," I say getting up and planting a kiss on her, before grabbing my cup and putting my shoes on.
"Ok have a good day handsome," she says watching me. I blow her a kiss, before leaving. Whistling a happy tune I head out to my car.
