Chapter 9

Max's pov

We step into the building and I was immediately dragged by Daniel's friends to a corner. " spill the tea " Corey  said, in a kinda demanding voice.

" he asked me out " I said blushing still not believing it and they look shocked. " holy shit, he hasn't asked anyone out in forever. " Zack says.

I raised my eyebrow " really " I said a little shocked they all just nod " you mean a guy as hot as Daniel hasn't asked anyone out in a long time. "

I slap my hand on mouth but it's a little too late and they tease me a little. Luckily that Daniel wasn't behind me and heard what I said just now.

Every couple minutes Daniel comes and checks if I'm okay or from a far distance he checks on me. I keep talking to his friends when I felt a hand on my back.

I turn to look whose hand is there and it's Daniel's a light blush made its on to my cheeks. " sorry guys can I steal him for a minute " Daniel asks.

" sure, go ahead " Jason says and Daniel leads me away and I look back at the others and they held there glasses up winking at me.

" I wanna introduce you to other drivers I race against and my teammate. If you want to, of course " Daniel says and I nod taking a deep breath in and out.

He brings me over to a group of guys and they introduce themselves. " so you're the one that's always on little Danny boy's mind. " Sebastian I think he's name is says.

" really " I say shock looking over at Daniel to see he's already looking at me. " yeah, you're driving me crazy " he admits in front of all his co-workers.

My mouth opens a little and closes still shocked. " okay " I say not knowing how to respond to what he said. " are you good " Zack says coming up behind me.

" uh-huh " I say then I hear laughing " I think you broke him Daniel. " Ernesto says. " you definitely did " Sebastian says elbowing Daniel.

" uhh, I'm good " I said moving my glass to my mouth and downing the vodka in one go. I turned to the bartender and pointed to my glass for one more.

" damn how do you take a glass of vodka without a reaction " Aric says shocked like everyone else. " I got used to the taste after a while " I shrug.

I take another glass of vodka god it tastes so good hitting you in the right places. " Daniel I'm stealing your boy for a little bit " Jonathan says pulling me away.

We walked to the back of the club and sit down talking from where we left off at the race earlier. The rest of Daniel friends that were at the race joined later on.

I didn't really drink that much cause I didn't want a hangover the next morning specially because I have work the next day.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only that's sober and I will keep it that way. After I got a call from everyone that they made it home safe I went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up I don't know how I'm gonna function with three hours of sleep. The second I walked into my work place I knew it was gonna be busy.

Let's hope the three hours of sleep is gonna be enough. Spoiler it was not one hour into working I was feeling extremely exhausted and wanted to sleep.

It was a miracle that I didn't and I pushed myself harder. I know I shouldn't push myself harder than I should've but I had to for the sake of giving my daughter the best life possible.

I want my daughter to grow up in a better environment than me and get everything she ever wants without hearing the words " we don't have enough money. "

The second I got home from work I slumped down on the couch and fell asleep. I woke up hours later to sweat dripping down my body and it's nighttime.

I turn on the light and searched for my phone and it's completely dead. I sighed and put it on the charger and went to search for something to eat.
