Chapter 13

Daniel's pov

I set my phone down on the by the lamp to stand and take my shirt off. I see in the corner of my eye Maxy's mouth open slightly and close.

I can't help but smirk knowing I have an affect on him. I see him looking away with a red embarrassed face " like what you see " I ask with a grin on my face.

He hides his face in couch pillow still embarrassed about being caught. God that's the cutest thing I have ever seen so far today.

My stomach crumbles and I look at the time it's 9:25pm. " uhh so...... " Maxy says awkwardly voice. " so......what " I say going to take the phone to call room service.

I order room service and lay back on bed placing my phone on the headboard. " are you gonna come to my race this Monday. I'll set everything that you need. " I decided to ask.

" I-I can't Danny that's the day I have to go back to work " he says disappointed. " oh okay we'll find a way " I say hopefully I thought a knock on the door sounded.

I get up from my bed reluctantly walking to the door opening it taking my food from the employee thanking him and going back to sit on the couch.

I put my phone against the fruit bowl looking at Max for a moment. " how's it with Alli " I ask taking a bite of cheesy pasta with chicken.

"Go- " he gets interrupted Alli possibly throwing up in the bathroom. " oh god. Alli, just let it out girly " he says. " is she okay? What's wrong " I ask worried I can only see the ceiling of the room.

"Oh no, no, no " he says than I hear a cry " I'm sorry daddy, please don't hurt me " a scared little Alli voice says. " I won't ever hurt you princess " I hear Maxy assuring voice.

I see Max's face comes in view " Danny I gotta go I have a mess to clean and give Alli another bath " he says with a hint of sympathy in his voice.

" it's okay, take care yourself and your daughter " I say even though, I'm kinda disappointed that the call has to end but I get it he has things to do.

" bye Danny. " he says when an adorable little voice quickly says " daddy, can I say hi to Daniel. " I see Max looks at me for the okay and I nodded.

Max handed Allison the phone and I see her face that turned to all smiles when she sees me. " hi Daniel " she says in an excited voice.

" hey, how are you feeling? " I ask drinking a little water to wash down the food. " not good I threw up and my tummy hurts " she says.

Out of nowhere she runs out of the room phone in her hand to somewhere in the house and then I heard a throw up sound.

Oh god the phone was out of her hands to which I assume to Max and he hangs up without explanation which, I totally don't mind he has his daughter to focus on that's sick.

I put on a tv show to watch while eating the rest of my food but my mind keeps drifting back to Max and Allison worried about how things are going.

Max's pov

Things are going south really quickly Allison kept throwing up all night long and her stomach hurts.

I think it maybe the stomach flu but I'll take her to the hospital to be sure it wasn't a food poisoning or something worse.

By the time 6AM came I got her ready to go to the hospital. We sit in the bus with her on my lap. I prayed to god she won't have to throw right now.

We arrive at the hospital and I checked her in and wait till Dr. Michelle calls us in. I keep my daughter entertained while we have to wait when I hear " Allison Verstappen "

I get up with Allison in my arms walking to the doctors office.
