Overlook

Scott had taken Erica to Derek, Allison stayed behind to call an ambulance for Matt, and Stiles was tasked with getting Jasmine home.

When Stiles had returned to Jasmine, she was in the same potion that the group had left her in.

When the boy looked at her, he couldn't help but think that the girl in front of him looked utterly broken.

In truth, she was.

This was the straw that broke the camel's back. The camel not only being Jasmines well being, but her metal stability.

She was leant back against a bookshelves and had scooted her body backwards as far as it could possibly go. Her limbs were like putty and her face held an emotionless expression, eyes still locked on the window Jackson had leapt from.

They were glazed over and expressed that her mind was thousands of miles away.

In reality, her mind had shut off.

Stiles tried everything to snap the girl out of it, to bring her back.

He wave his hands in front of her face, called out for her, at first quietly and softly, then raising his voice. He then cupped her face in his hands, turning her so that her eyes met his.

"Hey" he questioned gently, watching as her eyes began to refocus, looking deeply into his own. "Let's get you home, okay?" He questioned her, keeping his voice soft and even.

She gave a faint nod in response, barely noticeable. And if Stiles hadn't been as fixated on her every movement as he was, he would've missed it.

He slowly helped her to her feet, her mumbling a quiet thanks before the two began to head for the school parking lot.

------

They had been driving around aimlessly in silence.

Jasmine hadn't given Stiles an address and he was too scared to ask for one, scared that one little question could send her spiraling back into the comatose-like state she was in back in the library.

Jasmine was numb.

She could feel Stile's eyes boring into her every two seconds. He would do this for a while, splitting his time between watching the road and watching the girl beside him.

He didn't know what to say.

He didn't know how he could explain to her what she had just witnessed without giving Scott's secret away. Or maybe he should just tell her, tell her everything. But would telling her upset her further?

He knew she wouldn't care that they had kept their supernatural world a secret from her, or any of the rest of it for that matter.

He knew Jasmine was curious, who wouldn't be. She was around himself and Allison all the time and he knew she was smart enough to pick up that something  was going on. But he could also see that she trusted them enough to not barrage them for answers.

Allison had mentioned one time that Jasmine had overheard a conversation she shouldn't have. Instead of asking questions, her response was "It's okay. When you're ready to tell me I'm here. And if that day never comes, that's okay too".

He knew she really cared about them, and they also cared about her.

While thinking of the girl besides him, he felt a twinge of guilt for having ignored her the past few days. He knew they had upset her. Although Jasmine can be quite understanding, when she was mad, she had no problem of making it known. She may not speak on the anger, but would show it with actions.
