Sleep

Jasmine had opened her eyes only to be met with complete darkness.

She hadn't even remembered falling asleep.

For once she felt fully rested, a rare occurrence. She needed the sleep and assumed she had slept so deeply as she has been so emotionally drained for the past couple days. Not to mention she was still healing after being released from the hospital.

The darkness of her room told her it must still be night, her eyes having yet to adjust.

She heard no movements nor breathing from within the room, other than her own, and deduced that Stiles had left.

She must've fallen asleep while he was over.

It became a familiar routine of theirs. When things became too overwhelming, they somehow always found their way into her room. Talking until they either had nothing left to say and putting on a movie, most of the time Star Wars, or talking themselves to exhaustion where Jasmine would fall asleep.

One way or another she would always crash before the boy. Her out like a light, him staying up until the sun rose.

She felt bad for always falling asleep during their hangouts- if you would even call them that- but warmed at the thought of finding peace in his presence, enough to finally sleep. Typically, she found herself sleeping around three hours at most, non consecutively of course.

A soft smile graced Jasmine's lips as she thought about the boy.

She was lucky to have someone like him in her life. Someone as caring and supportive as him was rare to come by, especially in the mess of a life she had.

Jasmine then let out a large yawn before going to stretch and roll over onto her side.

As her arms reached upwards, they hit something above her head that kept them from fully extending.

Confused, she reached her arms up again, coming into the same issue. Something above her was blocking her from fully extending her arms.

In slight panic, she went to sit up and turn so that she could see what it was.

As she lifted herself forward, she had barely risen off of her back before her head smacked into something.

Her panic rose as confusion muddled her mind.

Laying on her back once more she reached forwards until her hands laid flat against whatever was in front of her.

The material felt glass like and had a slight tackiness to it.

She then took a shaky breath trying to keep her panic at bay. Controlling her emotions rather than letting them control her was something she was trying to work on.

She felt above her head once more feeling the same material.

She still couldn't see.

She then tried to move her body around.

She twisted and turned and tried rolling onto her sides, only to find that there wasn't enough room.

She was trapped in something, encased in whatever substance was around her.

As she felt around blindly, her panic continued to rise.

She was breathing heavily now as her eyes shifted around her trying to find something, anything that she could see to help her escape. But it was too dark.

She began banging her hands against the encasing. Throwing them harshly against the smooth material over and over again to the point where her hands began to hurt.
