☀️ Sunoo's POV
The next morning, I dragged myself into the classroom, feeling tired and a bit grumpy, but I knew deep down, I still looked good. Despite the exhaustion, I took pride in keeping my appearance together. I yawned as I settled into my seat, pushing my hair back and setting my bag down beside me. I pulled out my first subject notebook and pencil case, barely paying attention as I sighed quietly, feeling the weight of the day already creeping in.
Suddenly, a small energy bar landed on my desk. I blinked, looking up to see Heeseung standing there with his familiar, gentle smile. “Here… You look tired,” he said softly, leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss on my head before walking back to his seat at the back of the room. My heart fluttered for a moment, warmth spreading across my chest as I watched him go.
“Hey, what the hell happened to you?” Jungwon’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. He plopped down beside me, his eyebrows drawn together in concern as he took in my appearance. Without waiting for an answer, he brushed a few strands of hair away from my face, clearing my sight. “You look like you just ran 20 laps.”
I rolled my eyes at him, but before I could say anything, he shoved a small mirror from his bag into my hands. “Here, seriously, fix yourself,” he said, half-joking, but I could hear the genuine concern underneath.
Before I could start, his eyes widened in realization, and his voice dropped to a whisper. “Wait… Don’t tell me—did you and Heeseung have… you know… last night? Sex?”
I glared at him, my face heating up instantly. I quickly swatted his arm, hissing under my breath. “No, we didn’t! Shut the hell up, Jungwon!”
He burst out laughing, trying to hold it in but failing miserably. “Okay, okay! Then what happened? Why do you look like you pulled an all-nighter?”
Sighing, I set the mirror down for a moment. “I went to visit my parents’ house last night. I didn’t even have time to go to Heeseung’s dorm. We ended up partying and staying up late, so no, I didn’t have sex with him. Can you stop now?”
Jungwon chuckled again, leaning back in his chair, clearly amused. “Alright, alright, I believe you. But man, you look rough.”
Ignoring him, I picked up the mirror again, smiling faintly as I fixed my hair and touched up a bit. I glanced at the energy bar Heeseung had given me, feeling a small smile tugging at my lips. I placed it in my bag, saving it for later.
As I spaced out, staring at the blackboard, waiting for the homeroom teacher to show up, Jungwon poked my arm again. “Hey, seriously though, you’re not going to fall asleep, right?”
“I’ll survive,” I muttered, though I wasn’t entirely sure.
Just then, the classroom door creaked open, and our homeroom teacher walked in, her usual stern look scanning the room. She clapped her hands to get our attention. “Good morning, class. I hope everyone’s awake and ready for today.”
Jungwon leaned in toward me, whispering, “You better not fall asleep while she’s talking.”
I shot him a glare. “I won’t.”
The teacher began her usual announcements, talking about assignments and upcoming projects. My mind drifted a little as I stared at the board, tuning in and out of her words. Jungwon nudged me occasionally, making sure I didn’t doze off. I could feel his concerned glances every now and then.
When the teacher finally moved on to our lesson, Jungwon leaned in again, whispering, “You sure you’re okay?”
“How many fucking times do I hav to tell-"
