Yeonjun was mentally preparing for the battle.

This was it—the moment of truth. No more awkward staring from afar. He was going to talk to Soobin. Like a normal person. Like a guy who wasn't completely thrown off by a pair of dimples that seemed to have supernatural powers.

The plan was simple: he'd approach Soobin at lunch, make casual conversation, and smoothly invite him out for coffee.

Easy. Totally easy.

Except for the fact that his palms were already sweaty, and he hadn't even stood up yet.

"You sure you wanna do this?" Beomgyu asked, lounging back in his chair like he was watching the greatest show on earth. "'Cause if you embarrass yourself again, I'm definitely telling everyone."

"Thanks for the support, man," Yeonjun muttered, rolling his eyes. His gaze darted to Soobin's table.

There he was, dimples out in full force, laughing at something Taehyun said. It was like the universe was testing Yeonjun's ability to stay cool under pressure.

Spoiler: he was not cool.

"Okay," Yeonjun said, taking a deep breath. "I'm doing it."

Beomgyu shot him a thumbs-up. "Good luck, Romeo."

Here we go.

Yeonjun pushed himself up from his seat, walking over to Soobin's table with what he hoped was the perfect mix of confidence and nonchalance. Taehyun and Hueningkai glanced up as he approached, but Soobin's attention was still on his lunch.

"Uh, hey, Soobin," Yeonjun began, trying to ignore the fact that his heart was racing a mile a minute.

Soobin looked up, and Yeonjun's brain immediately short-circuited. There they were—those dimples. How was anyone supposed to focus when that smile was aimed at them?

"Oh, hey Yeonjun," Soobin said, casually wiping his mouth with a napkin, like his dimples weren't a weapon of mass destruction.

This was it. Time to be smooth. Time to charm. "I was wondering if—"

And then it happened. His body betrayed him in the worst possible way. As Yeonjun gestured with his hand, it collided with a cup, sending Soobin's soda tumbling across the table in slow-motion horror.

Oh no.

The liquid spread like wildfire, soaking napkins and trays as everyone froze.

Hueningkai gasped dramatically, hands flying to his face. "My fries!"

Taehyun didn't even try to hide his smirk. "Smooth, Yeonjun. Real smooth."

Yeonjun's face flushed. Soobin blinked in surprise, then—much to Yeonjun's utter shock—he started laughing. Not a mocking laugh, but a soft, genuine one that only made his dimples deeper.

Well, I'm screwed.

"Guess I needed a refill anyway," Soobin said, smiling up at Yeonjun with that easygoing charm that made his knees weak. "You okay?"

Was he okay? No. Absolutely not. He was dying inside. But Soobin was looking at him with those eyes, and Yeonjun couldn't even think straight.

"I—uh—I didn't mean to—" Yeonjun stammered, trying to form a coherent sentence while wiping up the mess.

"It's fine, really," Soobin said, his smile widening. "It's kinda cute, actually."

Cute?

Yeonjun froze. Did Soobin just call him cute? His heart slammed in his chest like it was trying to escape.

This wasn't going as planned, but maybe... it wasn't going badly either.

Yeonjun cleared his throat, desperately trying to regain his composure. "So, uh, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to... get coffee sometime? With me? Like, together?"

Smooth. Not.

Soobin tilted his head, looking thoughtful for a second. Then, he gave Yeonjun another smile—dimples on full display, again—and nodded. "Sure. That sounds nice."

Yeonjun blinked. "Wait, really?"

"Yeah, really," Soobin said, standing up and tossing the napkins in the trash. "Text me, okay?"

As Soobin walked away with Taehyun and Hueningkai, Yeonjun stood there, mouth slightly open in disbelief.

He actually said yes.
