Throughout the ride home, Peter couldn't help but notice that Tony's hands and legs were shaking. He looked at Pepper for an answer, but she just ruffled his hair and asked how his day at school was. Anxiety seemed to be with her too.

Might as well just play along.

"Today was a good day. Well, except for biology for Ned. MJ, Ned, and I had to dissect frogs. Tomorrow, it's going to be a pig heart."

(A/N: no joke you guys, instead of frogs, I dissected a pig heart in an old bio college class T-T).

"Jesus, a pig heart? It used to be just frogs!" Tony exclaimed.

"Yeah. Ned fainted with the frogs, so I can only imagine how terrible it would've been for Ned if he had to do the pig heart. The teacher chose to exclude him from anything requiring dissection until further notice. Other than that, it was a pretty good day. By the way, MJ and I made plans for an upcoming Saturday to go on another date. We're still figuring out what we're gonna do. Mom, Dad, by any chance, do you have any good ideas for..."

Tony could only smile as Pepper did most of the talking. He just sat there, listening to Peter talk about school, dates, and friends. Would he be able to have this sort of moment with his son much longer?

"Tony, I think a small recreation of that night we danced will be a good idea."

"I think so too, Pep."

"Well then, it's settled. I think it'll be a nice idea. Tell MJ it will be a surprise, Peter."

"Yes! Thank you, Mom, thank you, Dad."

After entering the tower, Pepper led Peter to his room while Tony stayed in the kitchen, inviting the Avengers in to help cook dinner pancakes.

At the entrance of his room, Peter then asked what was wrong with his father.

"You'll know when we have dinner, I promise. Just know that everything is going to be okay."

Peter just nods and goes into his room to take care of anything that will help distract him from his worry.

All the while, Pepper had entered the kitchen. She wasn't surprised by the looks of discontent amongst them as Tony explained everything to them.

Clint gave Tony a much-needed hug.

"As a father myself, I'm incredibly sorry to hear. Why are they here now after all this time? This just sounds like a disturbance to your peace, if you ask me."

"I know. That's how it feels to me too. I have no idea how to navigate this."

"Nobody would," Steve said. "The best you can do is have Peter's best interest in mind. You can't go wrong with that. Is there anything any of us can do in the meantime?"

"For now, I just ask you guys to help me with making pancakes. I know how much Peter loves those."

Thus, the team gladly helped in the kitchen as Pepper wrote out possible answers to whatever questions Peter may have that anyone could give. The list was a bit long but better to be safe than sorry. The pancake dinner was ready and Peter, through F.R.I.D.A.Y, was called to join. Tony was happy to see Peter's eyes light up upon seeing the pancakes.

This caused a montage of happy memories in Tony's mind. Of all the other times Peter's eyes lit up. When he got a gift on his birthday, or when he saw Tony and Pepper in the audience when he got an award, or took part in a show. Whenever he was taken to the park, got a new update to his suit-

"Wow! That looks so good! It looks like it had Uncle Steve's touch to it."

Steve appreciated the compliment as he proudly looked at the chocolate chip pancakes with additional chopped berries that were also embedded into the pancakes along with the chocolate chips. Peter took a seat and enjoyed the pancakes along with his family. Soon, dinner was over, and Pepper placed a hand on Peter's back.
