Ares silvermane
"Sir, he has eaten a sandwich." Eli's voice rings in my head as she informs me. I look at her, processing her words before my eyes going wide with my heart hammers against my chest. He has eaten? Wait. How?
My mind goes blank as I sit there in my desk before the realization hits me. He picked the sandwich from the shattered glass.
"Ares, the hell is wrong with you?" Eric groans in my mind. "I can sense the panic and fear all over you." He mutters as I march towards him. "He has eaten a sandwich."
"Isn't that a good thing?" The confusion in Eric's voice lingers in my mind. I open the door, walking straight towards him. "He picked it from the broken glass." I growl and I feel my heart drop in my chest.
I look at the boy, scanning his wrist covered in red lines. A wave of anger rushes down me as I look at them and find myself wondering who is dumb enough to tie his hands this strongly.
Tingles rush down my spine when he looks at me, his eyes having an affect on me. Even though I've told him to not look me in the eyes, he is here staring at me with confidence. I look away, sighing lightly as I hate the feeling that is swirling in my stomach.
"Why are you willing to give me the answers now?" He raises an eyebrow and I clench my jaw at the obduracy of this boy. Can't he just be easy for once?
"I see that you don't want them." I mumble before getting up. He sucks in a sharp breath, his eyes following me with panic. "I didn't say that." He mutters, looking away.
A faint smile lingers on my lips as I see his head lower to the bed. I think I'm finally getting to understand how to deal with him. Throwing myself back at the bed, I wait for his questions.
"How do you know that I'm your mate?" I raise an eyebrow, the first question taking me back a little. Not bad.
I tilt my head, scanning him before looking at the door. "It's a feeling. You just know when you look at them." I mutter, recalling the feeling I felt when his eyes met mine for the first time. "Without anything, you feel sparks and tingles in your body." I breathe out.
The need to hold them in your arms, the need to keep them safe, the need to give them all you have engulfs your heart.
I felt that.
"You felt that when you saw me?" I stop, eyeing him from the corner of my eyes. Smart, I see.
As much as I want to deny it, I am here to tell him the truth. "Yes, I did." I admit, keeping my eyes focused on the door.
I do whenever I look in your eyes, whenever they meet mine. I hate it.
"You don't?" I question, looking at him for brief seconds before looking away when his eyes meet mine and the sparks start to flow through my veins. He shakes his head, his big eyes looking at me innocently.
I feel my heart sadden for a moment but I shake it off. Of course he wouldn't, he doesn't have a wolf.
It doesn't matter, it's not like we are going to actually accept each other as mates. So it really doesn't matter.
I get up from the bed and feel his eyes focus on me.
"Ares." He takes my name, my breath getting stuck in my throat.
Ares, Ares, Ares.
How come my name sounds so soft, so gentle.I turn around to look at him. He looks at me with big eyes, blush creeping up on his cheeks when he looks away. "Can you help me?" He whispers and I just stand there, not understanding why he needs my help.
