Ares Silvermane

I pant as I run through the woods. The fear of losing Ethan creeping up in every vein of my body.
I can't lose him.

Even with the fear, I find myself burning in anger. He was so confident that he would not betray, that he won't run away but look at him now. Escaping from the window.

I shouldn't have trusted him. I shouldn't have untied his feet. I shouldn't have let my guards down in front of him.

All these regrets ran through my head and not for a single moment I felt at ease.

Max, Bryan and Adrien have been looking for him since yesterday and we have not found any clue where he is. All I know is that he has escaped and is surrounded by danger.

"We have to find him soon." Eric whimpers in my head, fear and confusion radiating through my body. "We will." I assure him, fastening my pace as I jump over the fallen trees and pierce through the leaves coming in the way.

Since yesterday, I have been running on the lands, checking the town but I have failed and I cannot rest without knowing that Ethan is safe and sound.

If he had a wolf on him, finding him would've been easier by his scent but now that I have no idea how he smells like, I am roaming in the woods with zero hope. I have no idea where I should go look for him and where not.

Maybe I should check the secret path. Wait, why didn't I think about it before?
Cursing myself under the breath, I change my way and rush to the beach.

The fresh smell of ocean hits my nose and I inhale a deep breath. If I find Ethan here, I will lose my brain completely. As fast as I want to find him, I just hope he isn't here.

I sniff the ground, trying to catch anything but nothing. With small steps, I walk to the small hill that sits by the shore, green grass covering its surface while a cave opens beneath the hill.

I scan the place, my every sense on high alert. Making my way to cave, I look around as the sand covers the wall of the cave. At the end, a small light shines, the portal to his world.

"Ethan." I mutter, my voice barely making out of my mouth. "Please tell me you're not here." I speak, stepping my paw on the ground and making my way to the light. With my heart in my throat, I take counted steps towards the end of the cave.

"Ares!" Eric's voice makes me stop in my tracks. His excited voice filling my brain. "I heard him! He's not here but not so far." My ears perk up at the news and without hesitation, I run out of the cave, my eyes searching for him in desperation. "Where? Where!" I cry, my eagerness becoming too much for me.

"Ares." His small, broken voice hits my ears and my heart drops in my chest. "He's not fine." I whisper, rushing to the direction where the voice came from. I walk back and forth, not knowing which direction I should go. I'm standing between the forest and beach, the loud noise of waves hitting the shore ringing in the distance and the high pitch sound of seagulls drilling an annoying ring in my ear.

"Ares." He calls out my name again and I run to his direction. In the forest. His voice is so small, so shattered. It almost sounds like he is trying to manage his breathes. "Keep calling my name, Ethan. I'm almost there." My voice is thick and heavy as I run to the voice. I know he can't hear me but the need to talk to him clouds my head. "He's somewhere here!" Eric jumps up with excitement as he senses Ethan near. "You can sense him?" I look around the place as I stand at the a log of a tree that is about two feet above from the land.

Trees cover this place and the bright sunlight makes the leaves shine brighter. "I don't know how but yes. I can sense him."

Jumping off the tree, I try to look for him at the ground. My body trembles when my eyes finally find Ethan. He lays on the ground, covered in bruises and cuts. His eyes are barely open as his lips are slightly apart and swollen. His shirt is ripped and shredded.
