***********

Though Moomal has cleared him of the misconception that she does not love Zayn, his heart has grown even more restless. Instead of finding calm, he is now making an ignorant wish that he cannot understand—or perhaps does not want to understand.

The restlessness within him grew with each passing moment. He did not understand what he was doing or what he wanted. Feeling down, he sought solace from Ruby to control his emotions, but it seemed it was not destined to be.

He sat motionless on the bed in the dark room, holding his head as his mind was overwhelmed with thoughts. In this strange state, he felt a storm inside him. His mind was confused, not knowing what he was thinking or imagining. In each of these thoughts, one face remained constant, never leaving his mind.

The threats from Zayn echoed in his head, and despite his unwillingness, his heart raced at the thought of losing Moomal. Despite his refusal to admit it, these feelings forced him to recognize that his passion for Moomal was not just friendship but something much deeper, something that made him behave differently.

The imagination that drives him to destroy everything is something he has never felt for Ruby. But why did this change come so suddenly? What is happening?

For the first time, seeing Moomal in someone else’s arms ignited a fear of losing her that burned his heart. He had always believed he was the most important person in her life, the one she thought about from morning to night.

But with the realization that Moomal is not his property and could leave him for someone else if she fell in love, his arrogance transformed into a fear consuming him.

No one can take her away from him. This fear awakened many dormant emotions he had been unaware of or had dismissed as mere friendships, which he never valued.

And if it’s all love, then what about Ruby? His feelings for her? Lost in his thoughts, he did not know how long he had been sitting there. The sun had set, but he remained unmoving until someone placed a hand on his shoulder.

Startled, he looked up at the person standing before him. The room was now illuminated, and Ruby’s worried face was visible. "Huzaifa, what's the matter? Why are you so upset, and why are you sitting in the dark?" she asked, her tone filled with concern.

He took a deep breath and shook his head. "Nothing."

At his terse reply, Ruby sat beside him and cradled his face in her hands. "There’s something bothering you. Tell me, maybe I can help," she said softly, her eyes full of affection.

But Huzaifa only wanted solitude. He gently removed her hands from his face. "I have a headache and nothing else." He removed his boots, unbuttoned his cuffs and shirt, and lay down on the bed. "I'm sleepy; turn off the lights."

Ruby stared at his back for a moment. She was perceptive enough to understand his internal conflict but could not let him withdraw from her. She knew what to do. With a sigh, she turned off all the lights in the room except for the lamp on her side of the bed and went to the bathroom to change.

It was five o'clock in the morning, but sleep eluded Ruby. The sunlight filtering through the curtains began to brighten the dark room. She looked at Huzaifa, who had been sleeping with his back turned to her all night. He hadn't once tried to approach or address her. It was as if he was unaware of her presence.

This was not the first time. For several days, he had been ignoring her. His once cheerful demeanor was missing. Now, he seemed confused and lost in thought, as if solving a critical puzzle.

It had been only three months since their marriage, but Huzaifa's interest in her seemed to have diminished. He now treated her more like a duty.

Was her decision to force him into marriage wrong? Had she made a mistake? After his marriage to Moomal, she noticed Huzaifa distancing himself from her. But how could she allow this? Huzaifa was her chance to change her life.

Growing up in poverty with her mother, Ruby had always fought to overcome her circumstances. Despite her mother’s hard work to provide for her, there were days when she went to bed hungry. Determined not to succumb to her situation, Ruby worked hard to change her fate.

At twenty, she entered showbiz with the help of a friend, and after years of intense struggle, she began to make a name for herself. She was practical and understood that success required more than dreams; it required cold, calculated thinking.

But even the most rational person can fall prey to their desires. For Ruby, this desire took the shape of Huzaifa. When she met him two and a half years ago on a film set, his charisma enchanted her despite her practical nature. Although she was initially attracted to him, she managed to control it. Huzaifa, however, was persistent, following her despite her initial disinterest.

Over two years, Ruby was wary of Huzaifa’s intentions. But his consistent pursuit and serious desire for a relationship became evident. She realized that despite her hardened heart, Huzaifa genuinely cared for her.

Eventually, she accepted his proposal, believing that being with him would ensure a luxurious life. Her feelings of love were only superficial; she lied to him about her affection.

For two years after their engagement, everything seemed fine. Ruby was convinced she had made the right decision until Huzaifa’s marriage to Moomal. Upon hearing the news, she felt bitter towards her fate. But when Huzaifa assured her that his marriage to Moomal was a facade and that he still loved her, Ruby reluctantly accepted this as true.

Now, however, Huzaifa’s behavior was different. Ruby doubted his feelings for her and suspected he was more than just friends with Moomal. As days passed, it became clear that Huzaifa had deep feelings for Moomal. Fearing that Huzaifa might eventually forget her, Ruby started pressuring him to marry her, but he remained hesitant.
