I was so glad it was the last day of our stay at my parent's place, things have been awkward since the outburst from Tony. Mom told him to behave while we were here and he listened to her but that didn't stop him from glaring at Lucas any chance he got. Right now we are getting ready for dinner which I'm glad about since after dinner we are leaving since we both have to get back to our jobs Monday morning. Lucas has been so calm this whole time here and when he sees Tony glaring at him he just gives Tony a challenging smirk. Lucas walked over to me and kisses the side of my head.

"Are you okay my dear? You see tense." I just sighed in frustration.

"Yes and no. I know Tony wants to say something to Mom and Dad but he is behaving while we are here...it's like he has some kind of dirt on you and is just waiting for the right time to spill it." Lucas just chuckled.

"Well if he does have any kind of dirt on me it would just be my record which isn't much to hold against me since every charge was dropped." I just nod as I understand what he means but if Tony did get his hands on Lucas's criminal record somehow and he shows it to Dad how would he react? I mean sure I'm not the baby in the family but I am our father's first daughter which he says is why he has to be extra protective of me and why I have to be on the best behavior and make all the right choices so my sisters can follow in my footsteps.

Lucas can tell that I'm back in my thoughts so he starts to rub circles on my back.

"Dear calm down, just think we are going to eat dinner then leave and everything will go back to normal, if your brother wanted to make a scene I would think he would have done it earlier. Don't you agree?" I thought for a second and nodded.

"Yeah, Tony has always made rash decisions so yeah I believe you'd be right on that." Lucas smiled fondly at me and kissed the top of my head.

"Don't stress yourself too much my dear, it'll be over soon." I turned around to look at Lucas.

"How can you be so calm about all of this? Like doesn't it bother you at all how Tony is acting or what he could do with whatever he might have?" Lucas hummed as if he was pretending to thinking but then shook his head.

"Nope, in my line of work my dear all types of men try to intimidate me but it always fails. And I look at your brother like a puppy, all bark and no bite."

This made me laugh now because I never thought of Tony like that before but now thinking back on everything he has done in his life with trying to cause problems that is a perfect example of him. I just smile up at Lucas and nodded.

"Your right." Lucas just grinned.

"Of course I'm right, I'm never wrong on things like this." We both chuckle at this as we kiss, then we hear a knock on the bedroom door and my mother opens the door.

"Sorry to interrupt but dinner is ready." My mother has been so kind to Lucas to whole time we have been here the same with my father, my younger sisters have been giving Lucas a side eye but that's because they worship whatever Tony says. We head down to the dining room and my eyes go wide, my mother went crazy with dinner this time. She placed a platter dish on the table that had a roasted ham, she had multiple sides of mashed potatoes, rolls, green beans, stuffing, gravy, and carrots.
