I'm not sure how long I have been here, maybe two or three weeks and the same thing happens every day, I get breakfast which is just a stale roll, and some soup that tastes bland but I don't complain, lunch I get a glass of water and dinner I get nothing. I've been feeling weaker now. Men randomly come in and beat me or whip me, I'm thankful that none have thought or tried to rape me. I'm guessing it's because I'm just bait to get Lucas here which has me wondering why hasn't Lucas gotten here yet...I thought by the third day that he would come to rescue me but I guess not. I'm trying my best not to lose hope but it's hard not to. And thinking back to past conversations I've had with Lucas it all makes sense now, like about me leaving my job.

Lucas came home early today but seemed stressed, I was happy he was home early for once but I frowned seeing how stressed he was.

"What's wrong babe?" Lucas sighed as he sat down next to me on the couch.

"Scarlett, you know I make a lot of money and I will give you whatever you want. Why not just quit your job?" I frowned at this, Lucas never seemed to be bothered by me working so why now?

"Babe I work because it gives me a feeling of independence and gives me something to do throughout the day. If I didn't work I'd just be bored all day." Lucas smirked.

"That's not true my dear, Rebecca and Sarah would keep you company. You three could go shopping or go get your nails done or whatever you ladies would want to do." I sighed.

"I understand how you think that's a life women want to live and sure some do but not me, I need to work Lucas please respect that." Lucas just frowned but nodded.

"Alright, but this discussion isn't over yet."

I now understand that this is why Lucas didn't want me to work but why not just be honest with me I thought but then sighed as I probably knew the answer to that already. Lucas likes to believe that he can fix and control every situation before it becomes a problem for him, my thoughts were cut short when I started hearing screaming outside. I pushed myself against the wall praying it was not one of the men again coming to attack me for fun. But then something told me it wasn't as I heard an alarm starting to go off and my heart started to beat fast as I prayed it was Lucas. After a few minutes of hearing shouts and gunshots the door to my bedroom, I was in got kicked down causing me to scream in fear.

I pushed myself against the wall with my eyes closed but I relaxed when I heard a familiar voice.

"She's in here Wolf!" I sighed in relief when I realized it was Lucas's brother, when I opened my eyes I saw Lucas running into the room and running up to me.

"My dear I'm so sorry this happened to you, I know you probably have questions and I'll answer all of them but right now we have to leave." I just nodded slowly as Lucas picked me up bridal style and we ran out of the building Lucas gently set me in a car and got in beside me. I finally realized that I was safe now and it felt so amazing but yet so overwhelming I just started to cry, Lucas wrapped an arm around me pulling me close to his side as I cried. Lucas was stroking my hair and arm softly as I cried. After a couple of minutes, I finally calmed down a little and was just sniffling as I looked up at Lucas.

"Who were those men that took me?" I asked in a soft voice.

Lucas just sighed "They were an enemy of mine, I never thought they would go this far Scarlett I promise you that. I feared they might but I was for sure they wouldn't. I'm so sorry you got dragged into all of this, that was never my intention." Lucas looked down at me sympathetically as he said his and he leaned down and kissed me on m6 forehead. I cuddled up next to Lucas as I silently cried again.

"Why did it take you so long to find me?" I asked with a shaky voice, Lucas just sighed in frustration.

"They moved their location and it took taking a lot of his men and interrogating them till one finally told us what we wanted to know." I nodded at this as that made sense but it still was hard to wrap my brain around all of this.

"Am I going to a hospital?" Lucas shook his head as he sighed.

"No, they would have too many questions and call the police. I have a doctor waiting at our place to check you out and treat your wounds and if you need any medication he can give it to you." I just nodded.

After about an hour drive we arrived back home and Lucas picked me up bridal style again and carried me up the stairs into the house, I thought we were gonna go into the living room but instead, we went into our bedroom where I saw Lucas's doctor waiting for us. He immediately stood up and walked over to us when Lucas sat me down on the bed.

"Miss. Jones my name is Dr. Azar, I'm gonna check you out and treat any injuries you may have; alright?" I just nodded and after about an hour and a half of Dr. Azar checking my blood pressure, drawing some blood to test, cleaning my wounds and bandaging them up, and putting a couple braces on me I nodded as he stood up.

"It seems she is slightly malnourished and is severely beaten, she has 4 broken ribs, a fractured collarbone, a couple of bad bruising, and a fracture on her one wrist and also on her one ankle. Apply this cream on her back to make sure her wounds don't get infected." Lucas nodded as he took the cream from Dr. Azar.

"Thank you so much, does she need any follow-ups or no?" Lucas asked which shocked me and Dr. Azar looked over at me.

"It depends, if you feel she is getting worse then yes, or if the cuts start to look infected then again also yes. But if she doesn't complain of any pains and everything seems to be healing properly then she is fine." Lucas just nodded as he shook Dr. Azar's hand thanking him again. Once Dr. Azar left the room Lucas cuddled up next to me.

"I'm so sorry my dear this should have never happened to you." I nodded as I didn't know what to say. So many questions were flooding through my head right now, am I safe? Will this happen again? Did the men who abducted me gone now? I wanted to ask these questions but I doubted Lucas would answer them all. I started to yawn as I felt the medicine starting to work, Lucas kissed the side of my head.

"Get some rest, my dear. I'll be right here when you wake up. I'm not going anywhere." I hummed in agreement as I felt my eyes getting heavy and then darkness took over as I fell into a dreamless slumber.
