Kinich never would have thought he'd stoop so low as to eavesdrop upon a conversation between you and your father.

He swears to himself that he isn't doing it on purpose, that he has some decency left in him, but by the looks of it, your father is trying to talk you into leaving Natlan.

And just by that, Kinich wants to listen in to know how the situation is going to work out, even if the method of doing so was wrong.

"Sweetheart, you know how the people here feel about us." Your father says, still being gentle with his tone.

"That's unfair," Your voice sounded hurt, it was different to how you would usually talk. "I thought you said that I no longer had anything to do with your job, that the only connection between us is purely familial."

"Of course, and I will make sure it remains precisely like that, but... people of Natlan will misunderstand you."

"Well, it hasn't happened when I was in other countries..."

"But it has happened, Y/n. When you were attacked a couple of days ago. People like that have a personal agenda against me, and no matter how much I want to deny it, my daughter will get involved."

You went mute at this, the upsetting truth finally making its way back to you.

"The people of Natlan are more aggressive than the ones you have met in other nations, and that's dangerous for you."
