A few days before the wedding, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation. Seokjin and Jungkook, along with Jungkook's family, boarded the Jeon family's private jet, heading toward their exclusive private island where the wedding was set to take place.
Seokjin, seated beside Jungkook, watched quietly as the plane ascended into the clouds. He didn't have his own family to share this moment with; his parents had passed away years ago, leaving him with only memories and the love of close friends who had become his chosen family. But in this moment, surrounded by Jungkook and the warmth of his family, Seokjin didn't feel alone.
Jungkook, ever attentive, noticed the slight melancholy in Seokjin's eyes. He reached out, intertwining their fingers. "Are you okay?" he asked softly, his voice low enough so that only Seokjin could hear.
Seokjin smiled, nodding. "I'm okay. Just thinking about everything. It's a lot."
Jungkook gave his hand a reassuring squeeze. "You're not alone, Jin. You've got me, and my family too. They love you, you know."
Seokjin's heart warmed at the words. He glanced around the cabin. Jungkook's stepmother was chatting with Namjoon and Jisoo, while Jungkook's father sat quietly, occasionally glancing at Seokjin with a softened expression. The acceptance he had found in the Jeon family was more than he had ever hoped for, and it brought him a sense of peace he hadn't felt in a long time.
"I know," Seokjin said, his voice tender. "And I'm really grateful."
Jungkook smiled, his eyes filled with warmth. "Good. Because this is just the beginning."
The flight was smooth, and soon enough, the private island came into view. The vibrant greens of the trees and the crystal-clear blue waters surrounded the white sand beaches, creating a stunning backdrop for the wedding. Seokjin's breath caught at the sight—it was more beautiful than he had imagined.
When the plane landed, they were greeted by the island's staff, who welcomed them warmly and escorted everyone to the luxurious resort that had been prepared specifically for the wedding. The resort was breathtaking—each villa had sweeping ocean views, private pools, and beautifully designed interiors.
As they walked toward their villa, Jungkook wrapped an arm around Seokjin's shoulders. "What do you think?" he asked, his voice filled with excitement.
"It's incredible," Seokjin said, his eyes wide with wonder. "It's perfect."
Jungkook grinned, pleased. "I wanted everything to be perfect for you."

Later that evening, the families gathered for a private dinner overlooking the ocean. The atmosphere was relaxed, and despite the opulence of the setting, there was a sense of warmth and intimacy. Seokjin found himself fitting in seamlessly with Jungkook's family—Jisoo and Namjoon welcomed him with open arms, and even Jungkook's father, who had initially been reserved, was beginning to warm up to him.
Throughout the meal, Jungkook's stepmother kept asking Seokjin about his upcoming projects, showing genuine interest in his career. Seokjin appreciated her kindness, and the more they spoke, the more he realized how lucky he was to have found acceptance in this family.
Later, as the evening wound down, Seokjin excused himself for a moment and stepped out onto the beach. He stared at the vast ocean, the sound of the waves calming his nerves. As much as he loved being a part of Jungkook's family now, a part of him wished his parents could see this moment. He wished they were there to witness his happiness, to see how far he had come.
As if sensing his thoughts, Jungkook appeared behind him, wrapping his arms around Seokjin from behind. "You alright?"
Seokjin leaned back into Jungkook's embrace, closing his eyes. "I'm okay. Just... thinking about my parents. I wish they could be here."
