The way you hold me

The city lights blurred as Lee Know sped down the empty roads, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. His mind was racing with thoughts he couldn't control, and his heart felt heavy as if a weight had settled deep inside his chest. Han's confession kept playing over and over in his head—the revelation that they had lost a baby and that Han had been carrying the pain alone for so long. It felt like the ground beneath him had shifted, and everything he thought he knew was suddenly uncertain.

The car hummed quietly as he turned onto the bridge that overlooked the city. He pulled over, his mind in turmoil, and got out. The air was cold, sharp against his skin, but the chill did nothing to quell the storm brewing inside him. Lee Know stood at the edge of the bridge, staring out at the city below, his thoughts swirling like the wind around him.

They had been fighting so much during that time. Chan had been consumed by his own anxieties, nervous and frustrated with his inability to have a child, while Changbin had been out partying too much, leaving Lee Know feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Everything had felt wrong back then, like their lives were falling apart, and now, to hear that Han had lost their baby during that time—because of the stress, because of the chaos—it made him feel like he was suffocating.

Lee Know closed his eyes, feeling tears prick at the corners. His chest tightened, and he could no longer hold them back as the tears fell silently down his cheeks. He hadn't cried like this in a long time, but the weight of guilt was too much. He blamed himself—he blamed himself for being too wrapped up in his own problems to see what Han had been going through, for not being there for him when he needed him the most.

He clenched his fists, anger mixing with the sadness. How could Han have gone through that alone? Why didn't he say anything? And how could he, Lee Know, have been so blind to it all? The thought that they could have had a baby together—a life they had created—if things had been different, if they had just been more careful, more attentive... It hurt too much to think about.

Lee Know sank down on the bench near the bridge, his head falling into his hands as his shoulders shook with the weight of his grief. He couldn't believe it. The tears came harder now, and with each sob, the pain felt sharper, cutting through him like a knife. He had let Han suffer alone, and now, knowing the truth, he felt like he didn't deserve Han's love at all.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Han was pacing restlessly around the porch. The night air was cool, and the stars above were bright, but Han's thoughts were on one thing—Lee Know. He had been looking for him for over an hour now, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. The house was quiet, with everyone else either asleep or resting, but Han's worry grew with every minute that passed.

Sitting on the porch, he absentmindedly played with one of the cats, running his fingers through its soft fur. His mind kept replaying the way Lee Know had stormed out earlier, and he cursed himself for not telling him sooner about the baby. He didn't know how Lee Know was processing it all, and that made him nervous.

The sound of a car pulling up snapped him out of his thoughts. He turned, his heart racing, and saw Lee Know stepping out of the vehicle. He looked different—there was an edge to him, something dark and brooding, and Han immediately sensed that the drive hadn't helped calm whatever storm was raging inside of him.

Lee Know walked up to the porch, his expression unreadable as he held two drinks in his hands. "I got some boba," he said, his voice casual but tinged with an underlying tension.

Han blinked, caught off guard. "Boba?" he repeated, confused by the sudden shift.

Lee Know nodded, offering one of the drinks to Han before sitting down beside him on the porch. For a long moment, they just sat there in silence, sipping their drinks, the quiet night surrounding them. But Han could feel the tension between them—the unspoken words, the emotions that were bubbling beneath the surface.

After a while, Han couldn't take it anymore. He leaned into Lee Know, resting his head on his shoulder. "You're upset," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Lee Know didn't respond immediately, but eventually, he wrapped an arm around Han, pulling him closer. "I'm just... processing," he muttered, his voice low. "I didn't know, Han. I didn't know we had a baby... that we lost one." The realisation that he heard everything made Han stay still, he was frown on the spot.

Han's heart clenched at the raw pain in Lee Know's voice. He turned to look up at him, his eyes searching Lee Know's face. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you," Han whispered, his voice shaking slightly. "I was scared. I didn't want to burden you with it. You were going through so much already."

Lee Know's eyes darkened, and he tightened his grip on Han, his voice filled with frustration. "You should have told me. I would have been there for you, no matter what. It wasn't your burden to carry alone."

Han's eyes filled with tears, but he nodded, understanding the truth in Lee Know's words. "I know... I just didn't want to hurt you more."

Lee Know let out a heavy sigh, his emotions finally catching up to him. He pulled Han into his lap, his forehead resting against Han's. "I've been hurting ever since I heard it, Han. But not because of what happened. Because you went through it alone."

They stayed like that for a while, breathing in each other's presence, finding solace in their closeness. Slowly, Lee Know kissed Han, the touch soft at first, but the pent-up emotions quickly turned it into something more desperate, more intense. Han responded, his hands gripping Lee Know's shoulders as the kiss deepened.

"I need you," Han whispered, his breath warm against Lee Know's lips. His voice held a pleading edge, a vulnerability that Lee Know hadn't heard in a long time. It sent a rush of emotion through him, and he responded by pulling Han even closer, his kisses becoming more urgent.

Without warning, Lee Know scooped Han up into his arms, carrying him inside and up to their room. The door barely shut behind them before Lee Know pressed Han against the wall, tearing at his clothes. The intensity of the moment made Han's pulse race, and he could feel the heat between them growing. Lee Know's hands roamed over his body, leaving a trail of heat in their wake.

"Raw," Lee Know whispered against Han's ear, his voice thick with desire. "I want to go raw. I need to feel you."

Han didn't hesitate. "Yes," he breathed, his voice trembling with anticipation. "I want it, too."

His body leaned onto a desperate touch as moans were heard out loud, Han wasn't holding it anymore, the thrust inside felt harder and harder with every single move as both of them shared. The grip on Han was almost painful as Lee Know could never let him go, not in this life, the bite marks were now covering the whole body of the omega.

Han moaned, his fingers digging into Lee Know's back as he felt the deep connection between them. It had been so long since they had been this close, since Lee Know had knotted him.

As they reached the peak of their lovemaking, Lee Know sank his teeth into Han's neck, leaving a fresh mark, a symbol of his claim again, refreshing the older mark. Han gasped, shocked by the sudden intensity of it all, but he welcomed the sensation. It felt like they were finally healing, finally reconnecting after everything they had been through. The thoughts of the knot swelling inside and the truth that was unspoken and now it was out made Han finally breath out as he was afraid to tell it loud to anyone, it was now their both grief.

When it was over, they collapsed onto the bed, their bodies tangled together, still breathing heavily. Han traced his fingers over the bite mark on his neck, feeling a strange sense of pride.

"I love you," Lee Know whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I love you so much, Han. I couldn't hold it in anymore."

Han smiled, feeling the weight of the world lift off his shoulders. "I love you too," he replied softly, his heart full. And for the first time in a long time, he felt like everything was going to be okay.
