I woke up a few hours later; I can feel the warmth of the sun hitting my face for the first time in many years, like a soft caress that makes me want to stay in place... I remember I used to hate this feeling; I would always get up my bed just to close the curtains and go back to sleep. And then I joined Lobotomy Corporation. Since that day, I wasn't able to see the light of day.

It sounds so mundane, just the light of the sun, what's so great about it? But it only takes a few days away from it to make you yearn for that warmth yet again.

I open my eyelids slowly; taking notice of my surroundings, there was no one in the bus as of now, except for Vergilius and Charon.

I stretch as I get up, slowly making my way towards them.

Ellios: good morning... where are the others.

Vergilius makes no attempt to communicate with me and just points outside. As soon as I step out, I can see the group fighting with a bunch of guys, probably street rats.

... even though they were winning, their technique was... lacking, to put gentle, the only four that seemed like they somewhat knew what they were doing, were Gregor, Outis, Meursault and Ryoshu, aside from them, their stance and attacks were terrible, no skills behinds their movements, not even Faust, the so proclaim genius.

I notice Dante watching the whole thing by the side.

Ellios: not exactly sure if this company chose the most competent fighters, wouldn't you agree?

Dante: <you think? I thought they were doing pretty well, I mean, they're winning>

Ellios: winning against some street rats isn't an achievement Dante, it should be the bare minimum, and yet, some of them are struggling.

Dante: <what do you suggest then?>

Ellios: let me join in, I'll teach them how it's done.

Dante: <actually... Faust told me that you were not allowed to join in fight against enemies that were way below your level>

Ellios: wha- why the fuck would she say that? Why did she hired me if she isn't gonna let me fight?

Dante: <I'm not sure, she said something about letting the sinners get the necessary experience on their own>

Ellios: so... this is their training? This seems unorthodox.

Dante: <well, maybe you could train them later?>

Ellios: I'm a Color Fixer Dante, not a babysitter.

Dante: <well... it's either that or just standing around, hoping for someone strong enough to fight, your choice>

Ellios: ... you make a strong point, fine; I'll train a few of the bastards.

I look up to see Sinclair easily crushing one of his enemies with a heavy swing of his weapon

Ellios: some of them just need some guidance.

I then look to the right, just to see Rodion getting stab through the chest, dying not long after.

Ellios: ... some others need a lot of help.

Dante sighs as he is gonna be forced to bring back a few of the sinners back once the fight is over... on the meantime, my eyes fall on Ryoshu, seeing her cut through her enemies one after the other, but not just that, she takes them out in the most gruesome way possible, even once the enemy is dead, she cuts their bodies till they are nothing but a bloody mass... a part of me can't help but to stare, after all, I used to be this way, in the past at least, I always acted quickly, silently, brutally. I believed that brutality was the only way to win against an army, the horrible acts I've committed on my enemies would scare the rest, make them run away... or that's what I told myself at the beginning, with time I've came to realize that I enjoyed that massacre, but I didn't noticed till that woman pointed out that stupid smirk on my face.
