The crew had been sailing for quite some time, Usopp staring at the map to make sure they were headed the right way, Luffy laying on his stomach and looking down in the water, Zoro snoring loudly, deep in a nap, and Sanji chatting it up with Rira.
"So, Nami stole the Merry from you guys and you're still convinced that she's been 'kidnapped'?"
"Nami would never betray us! She's a kind soul!"
"Women are not all saints, Sanji. Women can be sneaky."
"No, that's not true!"
"Hehe.. believe what you want to believe, lover boy."
She chuckles, sitting in the floorboards and shifting to get comfortable again.
"Sanji... I'm hungry... cook something!"
"There is no food, nor kitchen on this ship, Luffy."
"Hmph..."
"Hey, Luffy, let's do something fun to get your mind off your stomach."
"What?"
"Let's name this little boat!"
The brunette claps her hands together, joyfully.
"Okay!"
Luffy sits across from Rira, easily cheered up.
"How about... Chicken Steak Sausage?"
"That's... definitely quite the name... I was thinking something more like... the Retrieval of Nami 2000? Because the only purpose of this ship is to go to Conomi and get her, then we'll go back to the Going Merry."
"Nami's Saviors!!"
Sanji giggles, in the Sanji fashion.
"You sure do enjoy the feeling of protecting a lady, huh?"
Luffy interjects.
"I wonder how Johnny and Yosaku are holding up..."
"Who're Johnny and Yosaku?"
"They're Zoro's friends, they showed us how to get to Baratie and then they helped us get here!!"
Luffy grins, and Rira nods.
"Oh okay, I see. They sound like nice people."
She runs out of things to say temporarily, before speaking again.
"Speaking of Zoro, we should check on his wounds. He opened them up, right?"
"Yeah, in the fight!"
Luffy nods, and Rira gets up to pick up Zoro, with a bit of a struggle, and set him down again. She grabs a roll of bandages, looking at the spots where the blood seeped through the old ones.
"I can re-bandage him all I want, but he's opened his wounds again, and I can't fix that."
She says, while carefully unwrapping the swordsman's gauze. She looks down at the Warlord's scars inflicted, her eyebrows furrowing in concern.
"He needs these wounds closed. Do not let him fight again. It's not an option."
She looks at Luffy, completely serious.
"Okay... I won't. Wow, you're like a doctor!"
"I'm no doctor, trust me. But I've patched up many scrapes and small wounds from Chiyo."
She smiles fondly, remembering all the times the little one came to her after tripping and falling.
"Oh... I really miss her..."
