From the alley ways, Luffy's group had walked out into the street. They had gone back to the Merry for a snack to fill the Strawhat's stomach, and Rira changed into the dress she bought with Nami.
"So, I think we should split up, but that's Captain's call."
The brunette looked over at Luffy, and he nodded, agreeing.
"You can go off somewhere and me and Sanji will stick together!"
"I'll check Arlong Park. This captain must have something to do with Nami. I just know it."
Her face got tense, and she got back onto the shore.
"Wait, Rira! I'll come and protect you!!"
"Thanks, but I don't need protecting. You need to stay with Luffy so he doesn't do anything stupid. I'll be fine on my own."
She smiles slightly, walking off towards the location marked on her map, a large living quarters, likely the base of the Arlong Pirates. She whistled a tune as she walked, Conomi wasn't too terribly big so she soon arrived.
She got on her tiptoes, looking through the gaps of the fence, eyes zeroing in on the tussle which was building behind the wall.
"Answer me... where is Roronoa Zoro?"
"Uhh... I don't know who you mean!!"
The marksman was sweating bullets, with Arlong inches away from taking his life. The big-lipped fishman, Choo, crosses his arms.
"Chu! Don't lie to us, you're clearly against us anyways."
"O-okay... I'll admit it.. me and Zoro are good buds! If you hurt me he's gonna g-give you hell!!"
"Ah, so if we kill you, Zoro will come?"
"NO!! Uh, I mean Zoro will come only to save me... and if you kill me he won't come!! Right, Nami??!"
"Nami.. what's the matter?"
Kuroobi asked, intrigued, snapping Nami out of her trance.
"Still have your doubts about me?"
"I know your type, Nami."
Damn, right when it was gonna end?
"Nami, you're a witch!! Luffy wholeheartedly believed in you and you completely didn't care! He trusts you!!"
"I don't care, Luffy can trust whoever he wants. Not my fault he's so stupid to trust me."
"Take that back!!"
Abruptly, a loud splash was heard as the pink fishman Hatchan got onto the pavement.
"What's all this?!?"
His eyes could've jumped out of his sockets, at the sight of his brethren on the ground.
"The work of Pirate Hunter Zoro. Where were you when this happened?"
"Oh, I was giving a ride to this swordsma— wait! Maybe that was Zoro..."
"Dumbass!!"
"I was taking him to Cocoyashi, he wanted to see you..."
"Well, that means he's on his way, none the less."
Arlong seemed composed, for that inconvenience. Nami on the other hand, was about to break. If this got any more messy, she'd get in trouble, and she couldn't risk the past years of work.
Nami pulled out her bō staff, assembling the three ends together and promptly smacking Usopp in the face. He tumbled to the ground and pushed up, wiping the blood from his lips.
"If I let you all run around and do as you please, you'll destroy my eight years of productivity. I've got to kill you."
"K-kill me..? Haha, no way...!"
Usopp stutters, his hands trembling to grab some ammo and fire an attack.
Smoke Star.
"Thought so."
Nami came out from the smoke cloud, smacking Usopp again and aiming for his stomach with a dagger.
"W-wait!!"
It was too late.
Nami had stabbed him in the stomach, killing him.
"A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, you know?"
Usopp's body fell limp, lifeless, blood staining his clothes. All the fishmen cheered.
From her viewing point, the brunette's gaze was blurred by her own tears, as she clasped her hands to her mouth, her stifled cries coming out as pathetic squeaks.
"U-Usopp... no..."
She blinks back her tears, watching Nami again.
"It's your dream to die in the sea, right?"
The woman kicked Usopp into the pool, and he sunk. She wipes some blood from her face and Kuroobi congratulates her.
"Nami, you really were one of us all along."
"The only reason I'm on your crew is to raise 100 million berry, then I'm out."
"I used to wonder why someone as evil as you would want a little village. Until I found a map of Cocoyashi in your room."
He holds the paper up with webbed hands, and Nami flinched.
"Give that back to Nami."
Arlong speaks up, and the orange haired rips her map away.
"This is my map! And I don't care if you all trust me or not, so long as you keep that promise."
"Wouldn't dream of breaking it. I'd rather die than break a promise concerning money."
"Appreciate it."
Nami enter the building, bloodied dagger still in hand.
Rira sunk down against the wall, her arms crossed.
"Get up... get up... I need to go tell the others what happened..."
She winces, getting up and walking to a clearing.
Luffy had Sanji on his back, and he was sprinting at his full speed. He saw Zoro, but couldn't stop in time and the three of them crashed into each other.
"Are you stupid?!"
Zoro spouted, rubbing his head where he was hit. Luffy stood up, dusting off his clothes.
"Do you know where Usopp is?"
"Usopp... I need to find him quickly or he's gonna—"
"He's already dead..."
The brunette's familiar voice interrupted, as she stood across from the three. Her eyes were puffy and she looked troubled, tear streaks still evident on her cheeks.
"Nami killed Usopp..."
