We continued walking through the streets of the center, as if nothing had happened. Life in the city continued its course: cars, pedestrians, people shopping in stores, children playing on the sidewalks. Everything seemed so normal, but there was something that bothered me. Something that I couldn't quite identify.

As we moved forward, I began to notice that something wasn't right, a strange sound that I could barely hear. At first I didn't think much of it, thinking maybe it was just the usual noise of the city. But little by little, I realized that it was different, something that only I could perceive.

"Alex..." I murmured, lowering my voice.

-What's happening? he asked, pausing for a moment.

—I hear something strange, something that shouldn't be there. But I don't know what it is. It's like I'm out of place.

Alex frowned, looking at me curiously.

—Something you hear? he asked, evidently not sure how to help me. Are you sure it's not just city noise? You know, the cars, the kids...

I shook my head, trying to focus on that mysterious sound.

—No, it's not that. Cars make noise, and so do children. Those are normal noises. But this one... is different. I don't know how to explain it, but I can feel that something is not right.

We continued walking, and although I tried to concentrate on our route, that strange noise continued to bother me. It was like a distant echo, something that didn't fit into the bustle of the city. It wasn't loud, but it was there, constant, like a hum that only I could detect.

I looked around, trying to find the source, but there was nothing out of the ordinary. Just the traffic, the people, the daily hustle and bustle. Still, the noise persisted, not leaving me alone."I don't see anything," Alex said, watching my expression as I tried to locate the source.

Everything seems normal, Rex.

I nodded slowly, even though I knew something wasn't right. He couldn't explain it in words, but that sound was still there, as if something was about to happen. Finally, after walking several blocks, the noise became clearer, more defined in my mind. I already knew what it was.

"Alex... I know what it is," I said, with a mix of certainty and concern in my voice.
