Bubble's POV
After Fanny and I broke up, I never thought I would love again. But here we are. Lollipop is a bit like Pencil, in a way. She's sassy, can be condescending, but has a soft side as well, although she doesn't like to show it. But somehow, she's a lot better than Pencil. I don't know how. But I've experienced it firsthand. When I broke up with Fanny, she was the first one to ask me if I was OK. And she hugged me. I'd never been hugged before. Because, well, Fanny couldn't. But there's no way I'm ever going to be in a relationship again. I am not putting myself through that again.
Lollipop's POV
There has to be a way to tell her, but they're literally about to shoot BFB 20. There's no time now, unless I want to embarrass myself on live TV.
So we're in space now. Just brilliant. What next, a courtroom? Well, at least I can breathe now, since I'm safe, but Ruby isn't looking to good. So, Bubble tries to help.
"It's an alliance member's duty to give other members air!" It does help, seeing as Ruby is not dead now, but this was the perfect opportunity, although I am about to embarrass myself on live television.
"Care to give me some air? No straw needed..."
Bubble's POV
I turn around, confused at first, because what else would I use to give air apart from... I'll talk to her later, now's not the time. So I do what any sensible person would do. I slap her.
"Lolli!"
As soon as the challenge finishes, I talk to Lollipop.
"What the hell was that for? You know I can't... you know! After the... incident."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that."
"You shouldn't have. But just know I like you back, even though I'm never going to be in a relationship again."
"You... like me?"
"Yes, but don't get your hopes up."
Lollipop's POV
If only she would forget the past. But I guess if it's what she wants, then I should respect it. I never told anyone about the conversation we had. Until the next day.
"Gelatin?"
"Yeah?"
"May I talk to you?"
"Sure!"
I take Gelatin to the aloe vera garden.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?"
"Well, there's this girl I like, and she's openly told me that she likes me back."
"That's great!"
"Well, she said she doesn't want to be in a relationship."
"Do you mean Bubble?" Gelatin teases.
"Yeah. But how do I make her change her mind?"
"What about a date?"
"Why would she agree to that?"
"Just say that if she doesn't like it, then you'll stop."
Bubble's POV
She's just asked me out. What do I say? I've never been asked out before, since... anyways, I have no choice but to say yes. I mean, what else would you say if you were asked out by the girl you love? We agreed that we would meet in front of the Have Cots' place tonight.
We meet, as agreed, and Lollipop takes my hand.
"Can I?" she asks. I nod.
She takes me to the beach, my favorite place. She sits down in the sand, and beckons me to take a seat next to her. For a moment, we just stare out into the horizon, before I slide my hand into hers.
"How did you know this place was my favorite?"
"You told me. And Ruby," Lollipop chuckles.
"I really don't have anything fancy planned. I just want you to feel good. That's all."
"Well, it's working," I say, giving her a warm smile. There silence for a while, before I break it. "I want to say yes, I really do, but what if the same thing happens again? What if you cheat on me? What if-"
"Bubble, if you truly do love me, then you trust me, correct?" I nod. "So then why don't you trust me here? I'm not Fanny, in case you haven't noticed."
"I... I don't know. I just don't want to feel the same thing I did before." Without warning, Lollipop takes my other hand, holding me close, before we kiss. After she pulls out, she looks into my eyes.
"I'm going to ask you one last time. Are we going to get together or not?" I have a difficult choice to make. Actually, the more I think, the less difficult it becomes.
"Yes."
