Price Tag had really been hoping that it wasn't always like this. But sometimes hoping isn't enough. I mean, who could blame them for thinking their team was in pieces. Book was in shambles from the events of pre-split, Pillow was a murderer, Nickel never took anything seriously, Bomby was helpless, especially with Pillow, and Naily had really, really bad puns. And the team name itself was further proof. It was Just Not right (sorry). But there was a silver lining in the cloud. Cake. He was still getting over Loser, since their relationship was cut short by the split, and Taggy was always there to console him when he had a breakdown.
Taggy's POV
This one was real bad. I had to sleep with him for the rest of the night. He snuggled up with me, and it felt... good? Soon he fell asleep, me following not long after, but when I woke up this morning, he was gone. And he's still missing. I ask our team to see if anyone's seen him, but there's not trace of him. Maybe he disappeared. Maybe he's dead, so I go to the recovery center, but again, nothing. That's when I hear crying from behind a bush.
"Cake, is everything OK?" I ask.
"Oh, Taggy... yeah, everything's fine," he lies while sniffling.
"Are you sure? You look like you've been crying."
"No... yes. Just getting over Loser."
"Oh, Cake... it's alright. I'm sure he still loves you, and as long as you still love him, then you'll be fine."
"Yeah, but that's the problem. I don't know if I even love him or not anymore."
"Oh. Then why are you still crying over him?"
"Well... it's just... this wasn't just about Loser. You know how you've been taking care of me every time I've had a breakdown?" I nod. "Well, I think I like you. In that way." Cake blushes while saying this. "And I don't know what to do! I can't give up on him! I just can't!"
"Shh... calm down. We're going to figure this out. Together."
"Thank you. This helped a lot, knowing you weren't judging me."
"Why would I judge you? You can't completely control who you love. It's natural. And if you ever want to give up on him, and I'm not saying you should, I'll be available. At least, I'll try to stay available."
"You will? For real?"
"Yes. Now let's get to Cake at Stake, and hope neither of us get out."
