Lunami had no idea what was going on. She was awakened in the middle of the night, having only managed to put on her sweatpants and t-shirt, which were dirty and worn. They sat her into a car and then drove her somewhere, to a mansion. But no one came out with her, they just told her that she had been sold to another man and has to go inside. Then the car drove off and she was alone. She stood at the door, barefoot and scared, thin, tired and disheveled. She wrapped her arms around herself, wondering if she was going to run away. Behind her she heard the door open but knew it was too late to escape now.

Sylus watched from the doorway as Lunami was brought in, his heart aching with a mixture. His eyes roamed over her form, taking in the dirt and weariness that seemed to cling to her like a second skin. It broke his heart to see her in such a state, but at the same time, a deep anger burned within him towards the man who had treated her so horribly. ,,Lunami..." He whispered her name softly, taking a step forward cautiously towards her, not wanting to scare her.

Like she knew that voice from somewhere. From the past, from somewhere far away. She turned and her gaze fell on a man... With red eyes and gray hair. She took a moment to organize her thoughts in her head. ,,That's impossible," she whispered. ,,Sylus?"

Sylus watched as Lunami's eyes widened in recognition, a look of surprise and disbelief on her face. He smiled softly, his heart skipping a beat at hearing his name leaving her lips once more. ,,Lunami... It's me... It's really me..." He took another step forward, his arms open as if inviting her into an embrace.

Lunami didn't wait for anything. She ran into his arms as if Sylus could save her from all she had been through. She pressed herself into his arms and tears welled up in her eyes. ,,Sylus," she whispered softly before bursting into tears, perhaps from happiness alone. She felt saved. ,,I thought... I lost you that day. I thought I'd never... I'll never see you again," she sobbed.

Sylus immediately wrapped his arms around her, holding her tight against him. He could feel the fragility of her body, the weariness that clung to her, and it only served to fuel his anger towards the man who had done this to her. ,,I'm so sorry, Lunami... I tried to find you, I tried... I never gave up hope. I couldn't forget about you, not for a single second..." He held her close, his own eyes tearing up as he caressed her hair gently, his heart aching for her pain and suffering.

But the girl just shook her head. ,,No, no, don't apologize, you were just a little boy. It's okay," she whispered and looked at him. ,,I, I have so many questions, so many. They said that you... that you bought me, is that true?" she said.

Sylus pulled her away gently to look her in the eye, his hands gently holding her arms. He nodded, his expression a mix of sadness and determination. ,,Yes, it's true... I bought you. But not because I wanted to buy a slave, but because I needed to get you out of that situation. I couldn't stand seeing you like that, being treated as if you were less than human..." He paused for a moment, the weight of his next words visible on his face. ,,I bought you to bring you back, Lunami..."

Lunami looked at him before tears started streaming down her cheeks again. She put her head in her hands and began to cry. ,,This is really happening... After everything, after the nightmares... I'm safe, aren't I? I'm really... Safe," she sobbed.

Sylus watched her cry, his heart breaking with every tear that streamed down her face. He pulled her closer again, gently rubbing her back in soothing circles. He spoke softly, his voice filled with reassurance. ,,Shh, you're safe now, I promise... You're safe with me. You're not a prisoner, not my property, not a slave... You're free, Lunami. You're free..."

,,Free... Free.... Those words as if they weren't true, how I've gotten used to it," she whispered, pulling away and wiping away her tears. ,,Sylus, I know it's a lot to ask, but I have nowhere to go. These clothes... It's all I've got, I thought, I could... Stay with you?"

Sylus' heart softened as she spoke, his gaze filled with a mixture of sadness for her pain, and compassion for her situation. ,,You don't even have to ask... Of course you can stay with me. You never have to worry about that. This is your home now..." He paused for a moment, his mind reeling with the idea of her being back in his life, and how much he had missed her all this time. He took her hands in his and spoke softly. ,,You're never leaving my side again, you understand?"

She smiled at him. ,,I don't even want to leave. I don't want to leave you, now that I have found you, I mean, now that you have found me," the girl said honestly.

Sylus chuckled softly, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. He squeezed her hands gently, his heart full of happiness and relief at having her back in his life. ,,Good. Because I'm not letting you go. Not ever again." He pulled her back into his arms, holding her close against him, as if to make sure she was really there, that she was truly back in his life.
