After Lunami managed to find a kitchen, she approached the chef about what she had come to do and who she was, and when he entrusted her with preparing her and Sylus' meals, she willingly set to work. After a while she prepared guacamole, fried eggs and melted some cheese. She caught herself humming a tune under her breath. At one point, however, she nearly jumped out of her skin when she found someone standing behind her. ,,Uh, what the hell!" she gasped. Behind her stood a young man in a mask with a red beak, a hood over his head, dressed in black and red.

The young man chuckled in amusement as Lunami let out a startled gasp, her heart jumping in surprise. He leaned against the countertop, a sly smirk on his face as he observed her. ,,Heh, surprise! Sorry about that, didn't mean to scare ya." He chuckled again, clearly enjoying her reaction. He leaned in closer, studying her.

Lunami pulled back gently and looked him over. ,,Uh, well, a little," she said, but when she noticed that the cooks didn't care much about his presence either, she realized that this man was likely to be a permanent fixture. ,,Uh, who are you?" She asked carefully. ,,I mean, sorry, I don't mean to sound disrespectful or anything," she added quietly.

Man chuckled again, amused by her reaction and her slight fear. He could tell she was being polite, not intending to be disrespectful. ,,Nah, no disrespect in askin' a simple question. Name's Luke. I'm one of the top men for Sylus. What's your name, sweetheart?" He leaned in even closer, still studying her intently, his black gloves resting on the countertop on one side of her.

Lunami swallowed hard and pulled back further. He had said she was Sylus's close friend, but she still didn't feel comfortable in his presence as a man. ,,I'm Lunami, Sylus's... um... childhood friend. May I please? I'm not very comfortable," she whispered softly, pointing to his hands and the way he bent over her.

Luke raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued even more when he heard her identify herself as "Sylus's childhood friend." He was intrigued, realizing there was more to her identity and relationship with his boss than he initially thought. ,,Ahh, so you're the friend I've been hearing about. Childhood friends, huh? That's quite an interesting relationship you two have there." He chuckled softly, his voice laced with a hint of condescension. But when she pointed out her discomfort with his proximity, he took a step back, giving her a bit more space.

,,I guess, uh, yes, unless he had another friend," she said quietly, then looked at him. ,,So,,, right hand, huh?" she said, smiling. ,,Well, you could tell me if Sylus prefers cereal or white pastry. I'm making him breakfast, and... I'm not sure which he prefers more," she asked Luke, trying to act normal, though she was simply uncomfortable with the presence of a stranger.

Luke chuckled again seeing her attempt to act normal, sensing her discomfort around him. ,,Oh, I see. So you're playing the role of the good little housewife, making breakfast for the boss." He smirked at her, amused by her question and the domestic nature of her action. ,,To answer your question, he'll eat anything you put in front of him, really. But if you want to be extra thoughtful, I'd suggest white bread pastry. He's got a soft spot for that."

,,Thank you," Lunami said softly, turning around. ,,Well, no, no, he's just busy, so I thought I'd at least make him breakfast for letting me stay here. That's all," she said, then looked at him. ,,If you want... I can make you something to eat as well," she said softly, her cheeks flushed. She was still learning to communicate, it was new and unusual for her.

Luke chuckled softly at her suggestion. It was quite obvious to him that she was still adjusting to a different environment and trying to find her way. ,,
Hmm, offering to make me something to eat, eh? Aren't you just the sweetest thing?" He leaned back against the countertop again, arms crossed across his chest as he continued to observe her. ,,Well, if you're offering, I won't say no. I have a sweet tooth, by the way."

Lunami smiled faintly. ,,All right..." she said softly, then looked around. She wondered what she could put together. ,,Um, I'd make you pancakes, but I don't want Sylus to have it cold... how about I just toast you some toast and put some Nutella on it?" she asked him. She kept averting her eyes under his bird-like mask, though she tried to have a conversation with him. She felt that Luke was relaxed, brash, and just his own. Lunami, on the other hand, was calm, easily frightened and silent, perhaps that was why she felt slightly hectic in his presence.

Luke watched her closely as she thought about what to make for him. He didn't fail to notice her slightly nervous demeanor around him. ,,Nutella on toast? Sounds more than good enough for me. Don't worry about making anything fancy, I'm not particular." He leaned back against the countertop, observing her every move as she prepared his meal. He found her shyness and timid manner slightly endearing, a contrast to his own brazen personality.

Lunami began to prepare it. It wasn't complicated, so it didn't take her long to serve him a nutella toast. ,,Um, I just, I don't know if you're going to be able to eat it through that mask. Do you wear it for any particular reason?" she asked. Who knows, she didn't know how things went with Sylus yet. She had been here barely a day and had no idea what to do. But if this young man was Sylus's right-hand man, she might even understand why he was anonymous.

Luke chuckled softly at her curiosity about his mask. He was used to people questioning his choice to wear it. Still, he didn't mind answering her question, especially since she was so genuine and open. ,,
Ah, yeah, no worries about the mask, love. It serves its purpose. I wear it to keep my identity concealed. You see, in this line of work, it's better not to let people know precisely who you are. For both security and anonymity reasons."

,,Ah... Well okey then... So I guess you'll eat it somewhere private," she said, handing Luke a piece of toast on a small plate, toasted on both sides, with a nutella inside and sprinkled with powdered sugar. There were paper napkins on one side, and a strawberry jam with a mint leaf in a little bowl on the other side, like a dip. ,,Well, I hope you like it... although it's not much... "

Luke smiled under his mask as he took the plate from her hands. He could see the care and thoughtfulness she had put into preparing his meal, even something as simple as Nutella on toast. ,,
Don't sell yourself short, love. It looks delicious. I appreciate the effort. Thank you." He took the plate and leaned against the counter again, his eyes flicking up and down her frame for a moment. He was silently studying her, assessing her.

Lunami smiled at him. Then she turned, finished the same neat breakfast for Sylus, which was a bun, lightly toasted with butter on both sides, with guacamole inside, fried egg, and melted cheese on top. She topped the plate with fresh, sliced tomatoes, a half-moon of lemon for seasoning, and lightly took the orange juice. Then she looked at Luke. ,,Well, I guess we'll be seeing more of each other here," she said only before walking past him, out of the kitchen toward Sylus's study.

Luke stood watching her as she prepared her breakfast for Sylus, admiring her attention to detail and the thoughtfulness behind her actions. When she spoke, he chuckled softly and nodded. ,,I suppose you're right, love. We'll be crossing paths around here more often. After all, I'm pretty much everywhere."
