*Justin's POV*

"Genius is knowing when to stop justin"

Fay concluded, making me let out a sigh and turn around as I shook my head in disappointment.

"That's it? You're really going to ignore me now?" Fay asked from behind, making my frustration reach its peak.

"You are being a brat. You're the one who lied to her family and went to a party to a place nobody knows" I spoke, my voice unusually calm.
My eyes met Emily's for a brief moment through the rearview mirror and she just gave me nod.

Was she agreeing to what I said?

As I started the engine, I heard Her tell Fay to let it go and that she was overreacting.

"Wh-what?! " Fay turned to Emily dramatically causing her to move away and making me slow down and looking at them cautiously

Emily took Fay's hand in hers and spoke in her usual soft voice

"I get it you're mad at him because he broke up with your best friend but Fay.... He's your brother too... Somebody who-"

Her eyes looking up at the mirror and meeting mine before she looked down

"Somebody who's recently lost someone he really liked"
Her voice cracked and so did my heart

God I really didn't deserve her neither did she deserve the hurt I gave her

I felt pathetic and to let of these feelings about myself I focused on the road but still listened to her talk

" You are literally looking over your brother's problem... It was not his fault we went to that party right? "

Emily's voice was even softer now and I didn't hear anything from Fay meaning that she too was calmly listening

"He has a right to do whatever he wants with his time.. And he did come to help us"
Emily said, I looked up again only to see her looking at me through the mirror and she passed me a sad smile

See, this is what I meant when I said Emily was an angel. This girl can never harm anyone.

"You're right" I heard Fay whisper and then shifted herself completely to the window and looked outside.

But she didn't say anything to Emily or me anymore ,which was okay I guess.

So I focused back on driving and reaching home as soon as I could.

"My baby! Thank goodness you guys are okay!!" Mom exclaimed as soon as she saw us enter the living and hugged Fay

She looked like she's been crying ever since I left

Fuck , should've called her

But Fay was too busy biting my head off

I mentally excused

"Mom.. It's fine... We're fine" Fay said calming her down

Mom quickly turned to Emily hugging her as well

"Em you're okay too right" She inquired

"Yes Aaron, I am. Thank you " Emily smiled at her

And then it was my turn. As soon as she turned to me, I guessed it would be better if I explained myself to her
